Lucked into Shanahan but Lynch as a GM? Wtf?? So many qualified GMs 49ers interviewed...and in the end - they decided to hire a guy who has ZERO experience working in a NFL Front Office. He has ZERO experience as a scout at any level. I understand, so many potential GM candidates rejected 49ers. But, to hire a guy who has never held a position that is in no way related to a day-2-day job profile of a GM is unbelievable. I'm sure Lynch is a smart guy...he was a smart player...but that has NOTHING to do with being a GM. Why take the risk at this time? --------------- edit: After having some time to digest this news...wish him all the best and I hope he proves ppl wrong. Still don't understand why we needed to take such a risk but it is what it is now. I do have to say - his first presser made a positive impression.

i could even start to like lynch..... if we get those needs tonight.. then tomorrow will just be gravy.. i get the best player no matter of position.. but man... i think you go old school and focus on those areas of need in my opinion..... again unless hall from iowa state is setting there when we pick.. you can not pass that up./ no offense to hasty and wilson and "our guys"

Yup Center and some real competition on the IOL. We must protect Lance. Then Edge opposite Bosa, Then safety and finally cb. We have so many picks lets hope we hit on a few.

So, anyone happy we didn't pull a Bill Belicheck, like he did last night, taking a mid rounder at 29? This of course would have been if we traded Deebo, which was never happening.

To his credit, Bill rarely moves up in a draft. In fact, they usually move down and get extra picks.
