It's one thing to have one tall DT in the middle, but two would be a weak link in a 4-3. IMO. You sure as hell can't put him at End in a 4-3. Just some thoughts I've had since they've hired Saleh.

Makes sense, I can see a few players on both sides of the ball who don't really fit.

Defensively there will be a logjam at strong safety, assuming Ward moves to free safety. That leaves Reid, Bethea, and Tartt at SS. I'm guessing Bethea would be the odd man out.

Offensively I hate to say Trent Brown is a questionable fit. I like the guy a lot, but his lack lateral mobility in space will be a struggle.

You don't give up a 23 year old 1st round player. Especially one who was looking great before the shoulder injury.

Why would he say who at this point? Would totally kill leverage for the 49ers and I'm sure the organization wouldn't look very kindly on that.

Anytime a team lets known who they're trying to trade it's never a good thing unless it's obvious.

Yup, let's trade all the Safeties and re-stock, well except for Jimmie Ward of course. And you make a good point on Trent Brown, I never really thought about the offensive side of the ball when talking trade.

Yah I gotta agree with this, especially when Lynch tested York for media leaks before he was hired. I'm sure Lynch doesn't want who he's trading leaked either.
