I do think Gamble should definitely be judged on his own merits and not as someone attached to Baalke. When the Cardinals fired Rod Graves, they made his longtime right hand man Steve Keim the GM and the difference has been like night and day. Keim has been a lot more competent and has done a good job working with the coaching staff.
Gamble has a decent personnel background, his dad was an NFL GM, he worked under Bill Polian for many years and it was reported that he acted as the peacemaker between Baalke and Harbaugh, things only really went to s**t after he left for Philly so he might be a more laidback, no-drama type that Lynch could feel comfortable working with. Only time will tell.
