Great podcast sorry if already posted.
The guy said he talked to several people across NFL front offices and they were unilaterally surprised and annoyed by the Niners.
Great.
I do hope for the best but f**k you Jed.
Why would they be "annoyed" and why the f**k would it matter? f**k them.
because we took something they wanted
Exactly. We beat them to it.

With each passing day I like the hire better. With Peters in the fold I really like it.
Shanahan is still the prize no question.
At least no more acl projects!!

My main concern is that Jed has a propensity to overcorrect into making wrong decisions. Singletary was the complete opposite of Nolan in that Nolan wasn't really a good leader of men. Tomsula was the complete opposite of Harbaugh then Chip was the opposite of Tomsula.
None of these worked out. Instead of simply looking for a sound well rounded candidate, he swings to hard in opposite directions. Lynch appears to be the opposite of Baalke.

Yeah, the fun we thought we were getting with Chip.I hope he lands on his feet somewhere, though.

I heard the same thing on "Inside the NFL" tonite.....and they did mention there were guys who put in their time ....who didn't get hired and were hacked off by it. Kinda funny to be the pig with lipstick on one week, and then NFL "analysts" and potential GM candidates crying sour grapes when the York's finally do what should have been done 17 yrs ago. Yes it was a great move, and tough tiddy for the sore losers who lost out...or worse, weren't even considered.
We aren't there yet, but at least we are at long last ,finally started. And that, in itself, should make us all happy...for at least one day. I think this yr could be one helluva lot of fun.

That's a great insight. Hadn't seen that whole chain of coaches in that way before.

Except for one huge thing, Jed didn't pick anyone not named singletary and harbaugh

Sorry, I'm kinda slow in the head this morning, but does that mean Baalke had a part in it too?

5AM, Hawaii is 3 hours behind us here in the West Coast.
False. Hawaii is currently 2 hours behind California.

Simply put, there's only one thing that will silence critics, and that's winning. We've got a ways to go before we can see what the results are. But again, most of us expect year one to be a transition year anyway -- and that was regardless of who became GM -- so why not use the transition year to get a guy like Lynch settled in while you lay the foundation?
We got a guy who is fully committed to working in harmony with the HC to build the team the way he and Shanahan both want it. A "true partnership" as it's been said. Yes, basically every team strives for an explosive offense and lockdown defense, but we'll have two guys who know what each looks like and what it takes to make each of those things.

I thought it was 3 hours. My bad.
During daylight savings time, it is. During standard time months, it is 2 hours.

Yeah Arizona is one hour off from California for half the year and the same time the rest of the year.
