These are what we call "good problems"

Why can't we promote him in 2 years to GM and move Lynch to VP? Keep the best people in house?

Prett sad that jed won't consult with ex niner greats but has to pick a tampa bay buc.

all the ex niner greats probably slapped him around when he was a little girl.

Brent jones on the radio said if jed wanted an ex player for gm that you would think he would have spoken to ex niners.

Brent Jones has been thirsty little b***h the second he left the NFL. Dude can't take a hint. Nobody wants him or his friends.

Wow hating on niner legends.
lynch is well respected and has the chops to talk to people, brent jones was a great TE but has he done anything since leaving the nfl? I would have preferred steve young if we were going the ex player route but if we have the ultra offensive minded shanahan and the tough, defensive minded lynch it might be a better fit. Lynch is a 49er now just as much as anyone else. lets give the man a chance, hes already impressed me by keeping his candidacy quiet, getting in tight with shanahan and bringing over a top talent evaluator from denver. i dont think he couldve possibly had a better week or two. theres talk of him getting a couple ex gms to come in with him and hes connected to a bunch of organizations around the league. we're going to be fine

Jones has been successful in business since retiring.

Is this dude trying to hate? That's literally a good thing...
No, it's very clearly praise and admiration of Peters.
Peters has worked with championship caliber organizations. This looks good.

Finally.

All we're doing is using Lynch's namesake while other people doing the work for 2 or 3 years. Free agents will come to us now live, I guarantee that. I love this hire

Yeah, I hated when they came to us dead. Not very useful.

Zombies like Darnell Dockett?

That's all we can afford with Paraag's value-based free agency table/chart.

Still absolving baalke of all blame. Your are a true friend.

Ha! We'll have to see what FA looks like now under Lynch.

Im lovin this hire more and more

why ?

Hes a bright guy who will surround himself with guys like Peters. He wont be stepped on by paraag or jeds drama if there is any. Shanny is the best hire this offseason and a great OC. It seems like Lynch and Shanny will have a great working relationship.

Just gotta find a QB and a few pro bowlers in the draft!
