Would Aaron Rodgers be this good on the 9ers?

Under JH yes - For Sure.
Rodgers would have bailed after his rookie contract was up. He also would have told Nolan to stick it as he left.

Exactly.

The Packers even said he was on thin ice in his 3 years behind Favre. He was such an arrogant douche that he nearly wore out his welcome, and the Packers have a super stable organization.

With our dysfunction? Local kid, number 1 pick, huge jerk, changing OC's every year, no OL, no WR, fans booing him constantly. Rodgers would've self destructed. Alex Smith being super mature and calm is the ONLY reason he lasted until Harbaugh. The fans wanted Smith's head.

I lose zero sleep over not picking Rodgers.

Rodgers did have a good upbringing sitting behind Favre instead of being thrown to the wolves on a bad team like Alex Smith. On the other hand with Rodgers off the charts pocket presence, scrambling ability, and field vision I think he would succeed under the worst circumstances. He is a rare talent that can carry a team and makes everyone on his side of the ball better. Green Bay has lots of injuries and glaring holes yet they are one game away from the Super Bowl and that is all because of Aaron Rodgers. When his career is over he will be on most people's top 10 all time QB list and possibly top 5.

Rodgers used have no concept of a clock in his head with the pass rush. Up until a few years ago he used to hold the ball WAY too long and hang his line out to dry. He would've been a disaster here. Smith used to have the pass rush on top of him before he could even get 3 steps into his dropback. It wouldnt have mattered if Peyton Manning was back there during that era.

A-Rodge was good in High School.. was good in JuCo.. and what he did vs #1 USC (18 to 20 straight completion) was awesome.. had not been for a freshman WR name (DeSean Jackson) who slipped running a post route, CAL would have upset USC the year they had the BEST team ever in the Nation..

.. so, had Rodgers been drafted by his favorite team (49ers) no doubt that he would have been better than what he is now..

Wouldnt have mattered if we had Rodgers. He wins that game before KW has the chance to make the 2nd mistake.

Talent always rises to the top. The only thing that would have made him falter would have been his own head.
Rodgers would have struggled early but looked good for a rookie I think. he's succeeding with McCarthy now and he was the OC back in '05. McCloughan was calling the shots at GM and may have had a different drafting strategy.

looking back it's crazy to see how bad that Nolan hiring was..........

What's the point? Even the Green Bay Packers isn't good enough for Rodgers to get anything done anymore, it would be miles worse at 9ers. By the time, our roster is good, Rodgers will probably be due for retirement.

I agree- but who knows if we get Harbs had we drafted Rodgers. He would have saved Nolans job, at least for a couple years IMO.

Imagine if Rodgers gets us a couple extra wins a season. No VD, Willis, Crabtree, Aldon. Everything's different!

If a sure-fire HOFer like Rodgers could not succeed with the York's 49ers how in the world will any other QB be able to?
The 49ers blew it by not picking rthe HOFer in their back yard. He and Alex Smith were going to be the QBs they ended up being regardless.
Nobody will ever know the answer to this. I wanted Rodgers at the time and wish we could have found out, but such is life
