Maybe hes not very interested in HC.

If he wasn't interested in being a HC he wouldn't take HC interviews. He's excelled at special teams coordinator, working with offense and defense on multiple franchises. He's shown he can manage a large group of players and adapt to constantly changing circumstances as special teams tends to have the highest amount of turnover on a roster. I think consistently doing that, year in and year out gives him a nice framework to be head coach and be able to manage a whole roster while not favoring any one side of the ball.

Gotta go w/Phoenix WRT Dave Toub...but I think Shanahan will take the job. He wants to be a HC and this is his chance...especially with a clean slate. He won't get that chance in Atlanta w/Quinn and as we've seen all the other teams took defensive guys for their HC's. Who knows, maybe Jed would hire his Dad to fill a role like Elway has in Denver. Not counting on that, but once the HC & GM are hired, it'd be a good move to put a football guy like MS, Young, etc. to oversee it all.
