So I'm sure fans will spin this however they would like to make it seem positive but it's incredibly odd that McDaniels and Cable bailed.

Word from his agent that the 49ers were more interested in Shanahan? I dunno, but this stuff has a way of getting out there. Easier for a candidate to "withdraw" than have to deal with having been passed over for a job.

jed cant keep his mouth shut and leaked that they were more interested in shanny after that seattle game. its not hard to believe with all the leaks the last few years

It actually isn't. Better for a candidate to withdraw if they know they won't be getting a job then wind up being publicly rejected.
