The run defense has a stopper, however, he's injured a majority of the time. Baalke loves disabled players, he should've been a surgeon not an NFL GM.

We lack a true NT, rushing OLB, ILB and cornerbacks still. This is will be an ongoing situation for a while.

Why in the hell do we need a true NT so bad when we have 5 DE/DT's. Use them!!!

To be fair, we are usually so far behind in games that our opponents strictly run the ball in the 2nd half of the game to put it away.

We need draft the top ILB or WR. We need defense build first.. the defense is very important and Oline is very important too because the best protect for QB and make RB can successfully and plus can score too.

JoN needs to be let go at the end of the season. i realize he doesnt have his two starting MLBs but c'mon

This was my view as well. Once the bills realized they could pancake Wilhoite and Bellore it just went downhill from there.
Our D-line got doubled up on and most of McCoys runs I could tell we're huge gains once he got past the linebackers




Also what's with the hate for Dfo? Had a good game for how bad our defense is. Constantly got doubled and still managed to be a force

The run defense is to stop them from passing.

Like most aspects of the team, it's hard to differentiate between lack of talent or bad scheme/teaching because both are factors in nearly all units of the team. Is JoN a bad teacher or is the lack of talent the main problem? Looking at his past, JoN has always had bad run defense. Looking at what CLE is doing right now with their run defense, it's better than 2015 when JoN was there, but still bad (26th most yards given up, 15th in ypc). The players are either inexperienced, are backups, or both. I think this is a case of a bad chef (JoN) having bad ingredients (players). It's hard to stomach.

We might have the record for the most rushing yards allowed this season by the end of the season.....2500?

DID YOU GUYS really expect a good RUN DEFENSE with both Armo and Bucko in there?

When your starting NT and two starting ILBS are done for the season you are going to struggle against the run. Im not trying to defend baalke but not even the best of GMs could have anticipated this.

lol "struggle" would be an upgrade. Every team has injuries and the NT has been known all off season. He could have gotten someone and could have drafted dept at ILB but he completely ignored the positions in the draft for 2 seasons in a row.

I don't buy that excuse for Baalke at all.I really can't think of teams that have had as many draft picks as us in Baalke's tenure not to mention the absurd amount of cap space we had this past offseason to add depth and talent which he neglected and there is really no defending this shamble of a roster
