The problem is not the DL is the LBs. When we had Armstrong and Bowman we were ok then we lost both and now we have to see Bellore and Wilhoite start. Also Jim O'Neil scheme sucks.

Get used to it. We are going to make teams look like the 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers week in and week out. It is not going to get any better. We have no one at ILB and NT which creates huge weaknesses up the middle.

Now, Trent Baalke cannot be blamed for the injuries because he has been hit hard at NT and ILB. If his guys were healthy, we'd have Glen Dorsey and Ian Williams rotating at NT and NaVorro Bowman and Ray Ray Armstrong at ILB. We would look a lot better in terms of our rushing defense. However, the areas where his guys are fully healthy have produced next to nothing. If our pass defense were a strength as a result of pass rush and DB play, I'd be willing to forgive Baalke for our horrid run defense, given that our pass defense isn't that bad. Believe it or not, the pass D is top 10 and this is without any kind of pass rush. But all of that is negated by the fact that he can't draft offensive skill positions to save his life. All in all, the team, even with injuries should have far talent than it does if we take into the account the 2013 - 2016 drafts. There's just no excuse.

If a team lost both starting corners and their starting FS, would you be surprised that their pass defense sucked? That is essentially what happened to our running game with the loss of Bowman, Armstrong and Williams.

How many categories are we dead last in?

On offense we are last in yards per game and yards per play.

And passing yards per game.

Remember that streak we had a few years back of not allowing 100 yard rushers? How times have changed
