Gabbert out , ponder gets the nod . Say what you want ponder can't do any worse and this offence may be suited to his skills more then you think . Tank or Eli takes a seat and Marcus rush gets the chance he already earned . Rush could be a hidden gem . Patton sits streeter starts , this is just to give us a different look on the outside and see what streeter brings to the table . Davis gets some carries north and south , big back may surprise us with some regular carries . Ponders the key we need to get him in there .

Either alignment is going to suck.

AA with a bum shoulder, Buckner hurt, both ILB's out....

If Niners couldn't win against lousy Cowboys D then I really doubt there's somebody that bad to have another win. Bears and/or Dolphins might be a possibility but since Fox and Gase could be dealing media on those days then they're gonna bring down all their weapons against us. Also we'll be playing back to back games on the road on East Coast at 10 am (Hot and Wet Florida then going to Illinois Winter Weather). Finally Jets game will be at home while Bowles will have few days to be prepared and rested after a MNF vs Colts. Either 1 of those games will have a win but I prefer they keep losing so Baalke get kick out in New Year and we can clinch Kizer with first overall pick.

Dude that saints are gonna put up 40 on us while we'll probably just manage somewhere in the 20's against their pathetic d. Chicago is probably our only chance at a win

Move to the 4-3 and we can move our large OLB's in as DE's. It will allow us to keep more big bodies in to the stuff the run and cover up for our lack of ILB's. It gets Blair more involved and it may play to the strength of our huge DE's by moving them inside to DT. We could even run a hybrid 4-3 like Siefert ran with an Elephant pass rusher now that Lynch is back.

Right now without a NT and good ILB's running the 3-4 will be exposing our Defense with a giant hole to exploit right up the gut.

Not saying it's the solution but it's got to be better than what we've seen and what we are going to put out if we try to force the 3-4 without any ILB's
