I think Ponder would add a little more spark to the offense. If they put Kap in they're crazy, he could pull a Davis, then the team is on the hook for 14 mill next season.

Ponder was out of football for a reason.

So is CK and Gabbert (soon).

We struck gold.
Was Driskell so bad he was worth cutting over the guys still on the roster? I doubt it.

Driskel was horrible! He needed a lot of time on the ps, that last preseason game sealed his fate
The question comes from the idea that he would get better over time and the Bengals (with a far better QB situation than we have) are willing to keep a spot open for him. Oh well, what's done is done. This is a rebuilding period after all, and it is going to take some time to complete the process. Driskell probably wasn't going to be a part of the future in any event.

Did they only have 10 out there? I see a 3x1 set, on the broadcast I assumed it was a 5 wide, but gif shows otherwise.

They had 11. Hyde was split wide (very bottom of screen). Gabbert is thinking, "hmm, 1 backside WR, 1 inline TE, trips, and I want a RB in the backfield". Great math.

Ok...I see the TE now. WTF. I mean, s**t he did call the play right?

This is definitely worse than Kap not seeing Torrey!

And funnier!

Hyde is all the way at the bottom. 3 receivers at the bottom, TE on that side as well, 1 WR at the top. They had 11

Thanks...I assumed since the WR on the TE side was on the LOS it wasn't a TE. Kinda looks like we got away with an illegal formation.

No it's not
If we bench Gabbert, we should try Ponder. We've already tried Kap and he sucks! He looked worse than Gabbert. We seriously have the worst QBS in the league on our roster. There are many backups that are better than anyone we have. It's pathetic.

I could be wrong but I think Chip was asked about this play and he put it on Hyde for not lining up right.
One good thing is that we are losing outrignt instead of just by one or two points. That would be worse.

We are getting all our deficiencies out on the table so we can see that the reality is what we did not want to believe. Our roster is a long way from good. Our coaching is questionable. And our on the road record is hard to beat.
Look at the bright side, at least we scored 18 points in Seattle!

Kap will play week 5 if Gabbert can't get it together at home vs a weak Dallas secondary and no pass rush next week (even though the Oline has been great in pass pro this year). It's all on Gabbert at this point. He needs to stop being so cautious and let her rip. He has absolutely nothing to lose at this point.

Maybe Gabbert gets the AZ game on Thursday as well but I think that is as far as the leash goes.

Dallas has no pass rush what so ever, if gabbert doesn't do anything by mid 2nd quarter chip needs to bench his ass fast.

Yes sir, THANK YOU!

Please Chip, keep Gabby on a short leash / choke chain... next QB up (Kap or Ponder if activated).

3 against (full) starters

The rest of the points came against 5th stringers

Yeah, we couldn't even score in garbage time last year.

This is like a drunk person falling in the direction his house is. You fell, but at least you're heading in the right direction!
