Will the Niners beat Seattle in week 3?

Considering Seattle scored 12 vs Miami and 3 @ LA, I am assuming they are coming out hungry for a splurge . I think they get 2 tds and a FG. 17 points.... I believe we can put up atleast 20 considering we scored 28 and 27 against 2 top 10 defenses.

SF 23
SEA 17

Tough call. With all of the injuries that the Seahawks have you would think that this would be a great opportunity for the Niners to win. But Seattle has clearly had our number for the past few years so anything is possible. Armstrong was starting to come on as a player so his loss will hurt and the defensive line will have to prove they can hold the point against a weaker o-line. Seattle's receivers are a bit banged up so if they can stop the run and force Wilson to throw from his gimpy ankle they could have a chance. I think the x-factor in this game could be Graham who doesn't seem to have done much since he's gotten there but I could see him having a big game. Gabbert will need to make the plays that are available for him to make and has to stop planting the ball in the dirt on those short throws. Seattle's defense is tough and disciplined and I don't see them leaving the kind of gaps that Gabbert was able to exploit against the Rams. Would love to see Gabbert play really well and get the win but for some reason I'm not feeling it at the moment.

With our pass rush? Not a chance. Willow will run around until his WRs are wide open.

I agree. Our lack of pass rush is a major, major problem. So glad Baalke addressed in the off-season.....

Probably.

The only upside here is Seattle's OL hasn't been good in the past two games.

By the way, the optimism in this thread is a tad too high. Seattle hasn't been great but we're 10-point underdogs on the road for a reason.

Yeah doesn't stupid Baalke know that we need pro bowl players at every position!
Last year Gabbert threw for 265 yards at 63% with 1 td no ints. If he can do that or better while we actually get our running game going I like our chances.

The game last year against the Seahawks is probably the best game of Gabbert's NFL career. It's his second highest passer rating in any game he's thrown for at least 200 yards (behind the game against the Lions last year). I wouldn't count on him replicating that this year let alone improving on it.

If we get an average game from Gabbert and force some turnovers, we may have a chance, because the Seahawks' offense stinks this year. I'd be shocked if we get a consistent running game going against them.

Always rises to the occasion. Here's hoping that score prediction is on the money.
