Tonight's win...a fluke?

As for the schedule I thought we would win tonight. We have a shot to win at LA... maybe take the Cardinals at home.. probably 0-2 vs Seattle...
Think we have a shot to win at bears, jets, dallas, at bills, saints, bucs and at falcons. Thats as many as 9-10 wins. As for most likely losses: 1 or 2 vs Cards, probably 2 vs seattle, patriots. So it's a matter of can we win most of those games in that (shot to win group) to be in the running for a last wildcard spot at the end of the year.

Hard to build timing when 3 of your 5 WR's weren't even on the roster 2 weeks ago.

He did have those two throws where he fit the ball in a tight window. But hopefully this improves as the guys spend more time together building chemistry.

I dunno. Kerley seemed to be his favorite receiver and he hasnt been here long. His accuracy should improve as time goes on, but if we were playing a better at least 2 of those throws woulda been picked. Its the first game and we won so im not gonna complain too much
Rams are putrid, Fisher is a bad coach, but our performance was solid, even with that 3rd quarter, defense was great, offense moved the ball when needed controlled the clock
Neither of these poll options are one I'd choose. Not a fluke, because overall the coaching and preparation for thr game was solid. That doesn't mean they can go to Carolina on a short week and dominate or anything, either. Lets see how this plays out. If they are at least competitive next week that would be another good sign. Can't have a repeat of the Steelers game in Week 2 2015.

been saying it all OFF SEASON, week one is ours !!!!

I really don't see why we can't beat those LAMBS... are defense still good, and both Bowman and Brooks are still manning the guys..

$500 baby!!!!
1-15, here we come.
My biggest take?

We need help at WR. Badly.

Kerley was a great bright spot. Great trade. Patton flashes, but fumbles twice out of bounds because he is more focused about what he is going to say and do after the play, then he is during it, and Smith who?

Outside of that, QB play was shaky, but mistake free and got the job done. Gabbert Athleticism kept drives alive, especially early.

D looked Vintage. OL looked wayyyyy better than i could have hoped for.

This team can compete, But WR is going to be an issue holding the offense back, and while the QB play was not amazing, every QB in the NFL benefits from a good WR.
I wouldn't say it's a fluke. Going in I felt we were the better team front to back, especially at home. Rams literally have nothing on offense besides Gurley. Defense looked fantastic, but I do have concerns about our passing game going forward.
2011 season.. Niners won nothing but close low score games.. With field goals only!!! 4-4 red zone scores is not a fluke...
we won a game we were expected to win. now onto carolina.
Why can't some fans just appreciate a dominant win??? The defense totally shut the Rams and Gurley down. The offense was efficient enough to put 28 pts on the board. Enjoy the win. Look forward to game #2.
We'll see what happens next week,,,
