I don't understand why we trade McCray to the Hawks. It's not worth a 7th round pick for them to gain insight on our scheme.

Maybe we're trying to deal Kap?

A few guesses? The niners now have three QBs who were once considered good. If Kelly's system can show them to their best advantage he will be building toward future trades with two of them...or at least the team will have three very different and decent options to get through the year.

If the OL is much better then these guys will have a fighting chance to be decent and move the offense.
Still can't believe they are going with only 3 RB's.

Also, whoever said they have a source that told them the 49ers were adding another RB is a jerk.
Not quite sure what to think.

We keep only 3 RB's

We have 11 DB's but no room for McCray so we traded him

Only 7 DL's and they are not all healthy.

4 TE's

Smelter. Another Baalke injury pick that didn't pan out. That makes a 3rd round pick and two 4th round picks plus some later picks in recent drafts wasted.
Dujaun Harris is back
I wonder if McCray comes back to 53 man roster specially with Miller's assault prosecution...

Don't know, but I think it's the end of Bruce Miller's career as a 49er. Two episodes like this in one year is enough. Maybe McCray or another WR now that the Niners resigned Harris at RB.
Well, it took a while, but the normal dumpster fire of an off season has arrived in Santa Clara.

Miller.

We sign two WRs who will probably get more snaps opposite of T Smith when everything is said and done. Gabbert hasn't thrown a pass to either yet and we have 7 days until our first game.

Kap.

Redmond.

D Smelter.

No word if Dorsey or Dial will be available anytime soon.

Sign a DT off of the street when we had a promising NT/DE that we cut a few days ago.

At least the season starts in a week. What else can happen?

Deft a 4-12 Season is upon us.
Lets all thank our wonderful GM for such a great team he has put together.

dat offensive line doe

Typical comment looking at skill positions only. The OL went from one of the biggest weaknesses to one of the main strengths of this team. Pretty remarkable when you think about it happening in a few months of the off season.
Positions I feel will excel.

The o line: Somehow we are stacked at guard. Tiller is on the bench, he is starting for half of the league. I think he might take over for beadles if beadles has trouble in pass pro or run blocking against zona or seattle. T Brown is a stud.

RBs: I like our RBs and all of them are capable backs. Draughn is the only iffy back we have.

TEs: Another deep group. Vance will continue where he left off with gabbert. Celek is good and bell seems to be improving.

QB: I like what I see with gabbert. Kap is a capable QB waiting in the wings. It's amazing what chip can do with guys like ponder.

CBs: Fighting the o line for best unit on this team. These guys are good.

Here are my not so good units.

WRs: I haven't seen two of them so they might be good, who knows at this point.

DL: Again, I'm pinning my hopes on AA vastly improving from last year and hoping blair and defo play beyond their years in terms of production. Williams injury hurts here. We are stuck with dorsey who is injured as of right now and purcell who I don't have a good opinion. Dial, TJE, are nearly liabilities against the run and pass. Hope for the new guy to take reps from dial and TJE.

ILBs: Even if Bow returns to his former self, I have no idea who is starting next to him. I hope its armstrong and I hope the d line can keep the ILBs clean. Other than bow, the others don't seem to be at a level to overcome shady play by our d line to make plays against the run. A healthy bow and armstrong is a plus against the pass. This unit can end up on the good side, but they really depend on the d line for success.

OLBs: I like brooks. He is solid against the run and has led in sacks the last few years. Hopefully he has some left in the tank. I am trying to warm up to lynch as a pass rusher. I get that he gets pressure more than anyone else but this doesn't always equate to a negative play for the offense. I am hoping after his suspension that he turns the corner and starts producing negative plays for the opposing offense, i.e sacks, TFLs and pressure that results in an incomplete pass. There is a huge drop off after these two guys. I just don't see it with tank or eli. I am hoping they prove me wrong.

STs: no problem with FGs but our punter seems to be up and down.
