The Yorks are good for nothing and good at absolutely nothing whatsoever. But NFL values have risen a lot.
They are just purely lucky.
* Santa Clara wanted a team.
* Eddie D found trouble in LA.
* NFL values have risen dramatically for all teams.

The 49ers are worth $2.7 billion because Eddie D got in trouble in Louisiana? I think you're in the wrong thread. lol

Has nothing to do with cap space.
NEW STADIUM = a TON of new revenue streams.
In addition, regardless of the product on the field, they are one of the most recognizable franchises in all of professional sports, in a brand new facility, in the 4th largest market in the US.
Not Rocket Science.
4th?
NY , LA , Chicago, philly , Dallas, SF
we're slightly ahead of dallas.
The ranking I looked up had Dallas ,ft worth >> SF , Oakland/ San Jose
Maybe SF is bigger than Dallas individually.

Lol well that's not true at all...winning or losing doesn't have much to do with building a new stadium.

Then those "fans" that were around when we were winning weren't really fans if they left when we were losing.

We have a long track record.....You can't deny this.
Can you name another team that had owners who were "bad at football" that played in the Super Bowl recently?
"We haven't won a super bowl since 1994."

You really want to quote people? Ok, what about this one?

Would you rather go to the super bowl and lose or not even make playoffs?

the idea of being happy to just be at a super bowl and be ok with losing it is for losers and suckers in my opinion. with our history. our team does not go to super bowls to lose them.. especially when your own head coach plays a major role in the loss

This.
Plus, we may not be one of the best teams in the league right now, but that doesn't magically erase the five SB rings and recent SB appearance within this franchise's history. A rich history can go a long way, even if you have to hold onto it for dear life.

That and real 9er fans support their team more than others. And other than bandwagoner fans lije some teams have aa the biggest part of their fan base, cough*seahawks*cough, our fan base in general is more engaged and supports the team when times are bad.

What's your point? Jed is the one who set that ridiculous standard himself and his family hasn't won a super bowl in 16 years but pretended 4 years and three NFCC titles and a super bowl appearance wasn't good enough.

Actually the idea of winning a super bowl every year is for suckers.
People that can't handle losing in the post season and would rather not make the playoffs are cowards.

Nothing wrong with setting lofty goals. Would you rather our goal be something less?
