Massive bright spot is one way to look at it. Sadly huge cap space usually correlates highly with a bad team with a dearth of talented players to eat up that cap space.

I'd rather see us have some solid drafts and use that money to sign our own guys rather than spend it on over priced free agents. Unless Von Miller somehow hits the market.

i would say yes escpecially if Kevin White blows it up. If Kevin turns out to be a bust, then i think Bears would be inclined to offer what Jeffrey is asking. But their might be bad blood between Jeffrey and Bears. Placing a second franchise tag would be ultra expensive for the Bears to do.

If Kelly can get this offense running good and show that our team has a future, we might look like a lucrative landing spot to Jeffrey.

This all depends on his ability to stay on the field though too. If he doesnt miss a game, he is in for a huge payday

If i were the bears, id be waiting for that long term deal. See if he can stay healthy. Seems like they have been spending a lot in FA the past 3 offseasons

Maybe Jefferies gets to Free Agency but no chance the Broncos let Miller go. If they don't get a long term deal done this year they will tag him again next year

had Aldon Smith not gotten in to trouble last year, and let say, he registered 10-12 sacks with a healthy year..

Just how much would you say his FAIR price would have been with your approval to re-sign the guy?
