Additionally the teams switch to a 4-3 in 94 was the right move based on our personnel. Though I hated losing Ted Washington

I think if Todd Kelly would have panned out they probably would have stayed in the traditional Seifert 3-4, because he was drafted to play Haley's elephant DE/LB position. He didn't and they made a shift towards a 4-3.

dexter carter and dana hall at number one killed us in 90 and 92. also having no picks in 95 aside from jj hurt and of course isreal

. trading steve young to the chiefs for derrick thomas would have solved EVERYTHING in my opinion

All we needed was: Ricky Watters to hold on to the damn ball; get Jerry loose in the secondary (safety Washington was killing his behind and Larry Brown was a joke);
Steve Young to make a friggin play! There is NO WAY we should have gotten rid of Charles Haley especially trade him to the cowgirls; and Deion was a great addition because Aikman was throwing bb's all that was needed was to double Irvin and put Deion on Harper's no route running ass

I have no qualms with the "buying an SB" because we spent heavy on defensive players in FA.

What I do have beef is the accusation that I've seen that we skirted the cap somehow to do it.

We never were charged for anything in 1994, but was later charged for violations for the 1998 season.

Lot of hater fans around the league. Denver IMO did more to buy an SB these last 3 years than anything the San Francisco 49ers ever done since Eddie D.
