im not 14... I came here (USA) back in 1981.. and those are the ILBs who I watched and saw over the years..

OLB to me falls under the 3-4 (LT; McGINNEST; Ahmad Brooks)

ILB falls in the 3-4.. while MIDDLE line backer falls under 4-3..

COX and NICKERSON were LBs to recogn with sometimes during the 80s..

???? Are you trying to say that all 4-3 LBs should be called middle linebackers because they fit the size and weight that you feel that inside linebackers of a 3-4 are. That's ridiculous. That's like calling earl Thomas and Ed Reed corners because they fit that build more than a safety built. Its different positions.

as for the LBS, you don't see anyteams identifying any OLBs when 4-3 is the scheme.. they are usually called. WEAK, MIDDLE, STRONG..

OLB - when being used, falls under the 3-4.. LBs or EDGE RUSHERS who usually are standing up..

BOWMAN NOR WILLIS NEVER EVER PLAYED THE AHMAD BROOKS OR ALDRUNK SMITH AND LYNCH'S position.

Lol. I never said that Earl Thomas and Ed Reed were corners. I said that you lumping 43 OLB's in with 34 ILB's is LIKE calling Reed and Thomas corners cause they're built more like corners. Different positions, different responsibilities.

Just because YOU classify ALL OLB's as edge rushing 34 linebackers doesn't make it so.

Thanks, imo Willis deserves to be a first ballot HOFer, but because he retired young he likely wont be. Time will tell
