Whoops, great catch! (No pun intended) -- Bell is one of my favorite guys we took last year and I hope he makes a huge leap in 2016 and pushes McDonald down or off the depth chart entirely. Kid has hands of glue and loads of potential still.

My guess is that with all the attention we put on the secondary this weekend, Bethea's roster spot is in alot of trouble. I'm thinking that Ward will be moved to safety. Reaser will compete with Redmond for the nickel spot and if he is unable to secure the spot then he too may be on the roster bubble.

With Brock being our most experienced corner I think his spot is probably secure. This is just a guess but I think Johnson's size will intrigue O'Neil as a press corner. My guess is Ward/Reid start at safety, and Johnson/Brock at corner. Tartt will still man the robber position. Of course it's still early and lots can change. This is just my speculation at the moment.

I also still feel the niners will add a free agent or two in the summer to the team after some more cuts ensue.

Two things need to happen this year and we may be more successful then we anticipated. First we need a receiver to step up. Whether it's smelter, Rogers, anyone. We also need that same thing to happen with a pass rusher. A lot wil be riding on Harold this year. If they progress and take the next step we might not look too shabby. Long shot though

Me too! We saw some flashes of his ability last year. Very new to the position, so he could make a big leap when it all clicks.

Curious to see if Vance can finally breakout in Kelly's system but I have my doubts. Just don't trust his ability to track and catch the ball. Bell is a far more natural receiver despite being so raw at the position.

Garnett and Beatles are both starting no matter what

I also believe tarrt will start over bathea

The WR competition is going to be crazy. Outside of Torrey and Smelter, I don't think any of the other players are totally safe.

Assuming no injuries 1 player at least will get cut on that OL that will be tough.

Even if we go 9 guys and get rid of Silberman, Pears and Devey along with Davis not coming back (or traded), Martin, Thomas, Cooper (3rd, 4th,5th round pick) could be on the bubble. Maybe someone ends up on IR or we go 10 but that seems really unlikely. 9 is maxing it out. Either way seems like a 3rd 4th or 5th round pick could be gone.

Lewis vs Driskell should be interesting to see if we go young vs the older teacher and if we risk losing Driskell. That's assuming Kap is still on the roster if not we can keep all 3.

RB - Harris I think beats out Draughn and Hayne for the vet spot. Taylor and Davis should be good to go since they are higher picks/recent picks.

WR will be crazy and there wont be enough reps for all those guys looking at spots 5 and maybe 6 after Smith, Smelter, Ellington and Patton. Who knows Ellington and Patton might not be safe either.

CB will have some tough cuts. At least one guy with potential will be gone and it might be Cromartie due to the other guys being recent draft picks.

ILB can we just keep 2 of those guys and leave an extra 2 spots open for more deserving areas? Sucks 3 or 4 of those guys will make it and Wilhoite and Skov/Bellore will take a better players spot.
