How many of you want the Kap drama to just go away?

Not the drama, just the Kap.

Honestly, I stopped caring. Resolve the qb situation now, or later it doesn't really matter. With the current state of this team's roster, coaching staff, and upper management, there will still be a long list of issues to address.

I'm of the same opinion. If Kap stays, It won't effect the Niners (hopefully) drafting Goff or Wentz. Kap takes a very diminished role on the team. All the coaches will be focusing on developing our future QB. Blaine gets the nod to start. Guess the good news for Kap is that he can spend all the time he wants in the weight room. His sole job will be staying ready in case Blaine is injured.

Wouldn;t there be a competition between Gabbert and Kaepernick?
I think the drama is mostly a media creation stoking fan reactions.
The process might be long but it shouldn;t be holding the team back from doing anything they want.

There will be Competition between 4 QBs, if we draft a QB

i think they will let the rookie sit this year no matter what with gabbert vs kap qb comp for this year

eventually i think kap is cut/trade at end of year and they keep gabbert as backup

if the rookie earns his chance to be the starter, he should start

That's fair. But I don't think the outcome will be any different. Blaine is more accurate, gets rid of the ball quicker and he's better in the pocket once protection breaks down. If we draft Goff or Wentz, they'll be holding the clipboard all year long. No need to rush them into duty when we all know it will be a rebuilding year once again.
Yes, it's time to GO!!!
The drama is media created. Kap stays and beats Gabbert for the starting spot.
Kaep has to go. I hope come draft day this all resolved.

First, this will become a serious distraction for the entire team.

Second, we may have an opportunity to draft a good prospect at qb early in the draft, and we are clearly a rebuilding team, so if we can get a 2nd (unlikely) or a 3rd round pick in a trade I think that will beat help his team move on while helping us get better.

Third, and most importantly, for everyone who believe kaep can still play, just think about his mentality. He argues with fans on Twitter, spends far too much time obsessed with his physique (tattoos and muscles), does not spend time in the classroom studying, and does not get along very well with teammates. For those that blame coaching, bad oline, and no Hyde, grabbert had the exact same circumstances yet looked far superior. His numbers were better, his energy was better, his leadership was better, and the eye ball test showed he was better. Gabbert was better and it wasn't even close. In a perfect world where the oline is great and the defense is top 5, yea Kaep might work in that situation, but on our crappy team, we need a qb who can elevate. Kaep simply can't.

As long as the new coaching staff feels they can make him a better. more valuable, player then he should stay. A year of good coaching and putting him in mop up or blow out situations will bring better picks next off season.

Throw in a good dose of not working on your mechanics, not studying film, dating other team members girl friends and being a moody loner....
