elite offense is something i reeeeeally miss
Can I split it and have a elite run game and pass rush?
i really miss the days when Steve Young would throw for 300+ yards and Owens or Rice would have 10+ catches... i think we need that.. the killer instinct..
lol noboy cares about defense,we just wanna see offense score 45 points a game
Yes
I'll take either

Defense wins championships.
Elite QB.
Right now we have an average defense in points allowed (18th in the league) and a putrid offense in points scored (last in the league), so if we have an elite offense and retain the defense we have now, then we're a playoff contender.
I'd settle for an average offense or defense first. We're a long ways from elite. For me, it all comes down to who we pick first in the draft. If it's a QB, I want us to build our offense through the draft and free agency to put them in the best position to succeed. If we draft Jalen Ramsey or Hargreaves and we start them right away, we may want to take pressure off our secondary by improving our defensive line and pass rush. Even if it's a skill position on offense like Treadwell, I'd probably want to rebuild our offensive line to give him time to run a complete route tree and get him the ball more often.

Whoever we pick at 7 could be one of our building blocks for this team so I'd want to protect that investment. Armstead, Lynch, and Hyde are our other key young players in my opinion. Harris may be able to spell Hyde, but we need to improve our offensive line to help develop our skill position players. Hyde can't improve his vision and will take a beating if there are no holes to run through, we may ruin QB's if there is no pass protection, and WR's will leave if we can't get them the ball.

In my opinion it's easier to develop players on a bad defense than a bad offense, so I'd prioritize offensive line, especially if we draft a QB. Next would probably be pass rush to help out our secondary.
An elite defense wins championships; however, an elite QB makes a team a perennial contender for the Superbowl year in and year out. (look at Brady, Manning, and Rogdgers)

Bowman, Lynch, Armstead, Tartt and Ward all have potential to be absolute studs next season. I think we can have an elite defense again pretty soon. I would love to focus on inside ILB and DE early to solidify the D
elite is over rated
