Payton would be cool. I don't get super thrilled with him, Baalke can pick defensive guys and Payton has picked some good WR's and ok RB's. Might be a good match. He can develop a good offense have to see if he can do it without Brees who he did help rocket into elite-ness. Hue Jackson gives me almost as much excitement. Either way with either of them i think i would be good. With Payton there would have to be a good DC IMO. Don't want repeats of his recent Saints defenses.

What serious "Coaching Candidates" have they seriously spoken to about Kap?

My guess is 0 with the exception of possibly Chip Kelley...

Right. I've said all along a good coaching staff and we could have been in playoff contention this year. Not necessarily make it but we have a more talented roster then a lot of teams. If we nail this hire...I'm confident in a quick turnaround
