Why even mention that? Why? Even the announcers try to praise him for being a nice guy and a great motivator. Really? Is that why they are playing so well? Ohhh he's such a nice guy. FOH

Why? Nobody is calling him the next Bill Walsh or even the next Steve Mariucci. He just IS a nice guy, that's all.

Why do you all keep saying Tomsula is a nice guy, a hell of a guy, a great guy. None of you know him personally. I wouldn't care if he could walk on water. The guy sucks as a coach. He also is part of the reason why Harbaugh got fired. He wanted the job. Again F Tomsula , Jed, Baalke and Paarag. All of them. F them all. Tomsula being a nice guy doesn't mean s**t

Because is has nothing to do with the product on the field. Why are you mentioning he's a nice guy? What purpose does that serve?

Why does it bother you that a Niner fan thinks Tomsula is a nice guy? So what? Even people like me who think he's a nice guy aren't arguing that he should be retained. Give it a rest - if you saw piece I did on television about his background and his family, you'd think he was a good guy too.
I get being angry over bad coaching. I totally get being angry over bad picks and players who don't pan out.

But I will never get why someone would get angry over the coach being called a nice guy. WTF??!!

8-8 was completely unacceptable for Jed, even after 3 playoff appearances in a row.

4-12 is cool though.

So f'n true. Merry Christmas fans. Love, Jed.

Everybody sees through jed's BS, I don't know why he continues to spew it.

Fire tomsula already, I'd feel more comfortable if i had confidence in the HC which i have zero in tomsula. We have a team that isn't getting better every week, their end of the season performance shows how enept this coaching staff is. I can handle a losing record if the team is improving. We aren't improving, we're flopping around, directionless week to week.

What purpose does anything around here serve? What purpose does complaining about play-calling serve? How about complaining about York? What purpose does that serve.

You evidently just want to hear opinions with which you agree.

Because it's a diversion to excuse his lousy coaching. It was the reason why Harbaugh was fired because he Wasn't a nice guy.

When the fans are angry York listens. If nobody goes to the games he will listen. It does serve a purpose to speak out on this BS. If nobody is buying tickets anymore it's showing he's ruining the team.

I just want to know what Tomsula has shown in the endless string of ass kickings that justifies another year of this b******t. Well, since garbage gets rewarded he can put on his coaching accolades back to back curb stompings to the murderers row that is Cleveland and Detriot. Im sure this will be another road game in which we are noncompetitive. So embarrassing that this guy is the face of our franchise.

I think it's extrapolating the connection with York being comfortable with "nice" as opposed to a mean guy (like Harbaugh).

"The San Francisco 49ers and their management would prefer that coach Jim Tomsula survive this season despite the fact that they're on a 4-10 season, and have gone backwards significantly over the year; not only with the roster, with so many defections from the roster, but also on the coaching staff, with the loss of Jim Harbaugh. Despite all of that, management wants to have some type of continuity.

"However, there are concerns within this organization, and specifically in the locker room, about the ability of Tomsula to control the locker room and get guys focused on playing hard week in and week out. This team gave up over 200 yards rushing against Cleveland recently, and was out of the game on Sunday against Cincinnati in the second quarter with a litany of turnovers.

"Finally, one of the other big concerns for Tomsula as he goes into his second year, and assuming he makes it, is whether he's going to be able to bring assistant coaches in to bolster the assistant coaching staff. If he's going to be able to attract top-level people even though the interpretation of the situation, if he returns, is that he may only have one year left.

"There is lots of concern here for the 49ers about their future. And, while they haven't made a final decision on Tomsula, and he might ultimately be fired, they're leaning towards keeping him at this point in time. That my not be the best solution for the 49ers long term."
