Very fun win. After a sloppy upset against a team filled with ex-49er coaches and the OC that had a handshake agreement to be your next coach. And a win against a coaching staff that a majority of disgruntled fans wished Jed had retained. Those fans also constantly berate and criticize Jed for not retaining/hiring.

Not only that, but Jed also has a history of being very... select with his Tweets related to the 49ers.

Almost had them. Couple more calls go our way, their kicker misses a couple, we're right in it.

so the browns gave the formula of how to beat us to the Cincy team , and they are better team than us even without there starting qb playing good luck to us this Sunday !

Defense kept them in it until the end of the 3rd quarter. 49ers have no running game, I thought they were built to run the ball more

How many players on our team would start for good teams? Maybe a handful? I know injuries happen but we have a team of barely backups to practice squad maybes.

They did not resign Frank Gore. 8 or 9 guys have carried the ball for the 49ers this year. That is unheard of.
They trade 3 or 4 Tight Ends? I've lost count. They are down to starting a Rookie and a practice squad player.
They traded for OL who should not be on the team let alone a starter.

There is nothing more to see here. This team needs an enema and it starts at the GM.

"Our GM sucks so who cares if we get a good pick?". Well in that case, who cares about anything ever?

That same GM selected the two players we lost this offseason along the O-Line. Who expects a 26 year old RT to retire?

Yup, his OTHER picks at O-Line haven't worked out, but it doesn't work out for everyone all the time...ever.

Frank Gore is currently averaging 3.6 yards per carry in Indy. Get over it.

When he was healthy, Hyde was averaging 4.0 yards per carry behind the worst line in football.

TE? Did you see Vernon lose the game for Denver? They got a pick for a player that's DONE. Did you see McDonald get hurt? Did you see Celek get hurt? How exactly is that the GMs fault?

They traded for a lineman when it became clear Thomas wasn't working out and neither were the other young players on the team. Its not like starting O-Linemen are just sitting out there to be had just before the season starts. Mathis was never an option because he wanted to play for a winner and the 49ers were not viewed as such.

This BS about Baalke is just as lazy as the BS with York. No GM is perfect.

No GM bats 1000. NOBODY. Nobody bats .500. Just doesn't happen. Not every player selected is going to be a starting NFL player. Taking good backups is ALSO important.

You can ramble on for days if you want. Doesn't change the fact we have a horrible team. The GM is responsible for that. Not sure what else to say.

theres tape on gabbert now, they know he struggles to make throws beyond 10 yards. just like whitner said, gabbert is afraid to take chances

teams are playing all the short throws now, gabbert has to adjust now

Right....and unexpected player retirements, injuries, players aging and player legal stupidity had absolutely nothing to do with it. Dude, please.

There are good GMs on bad teams all over the place. Circumstance has just as much to do with it as the GM does.

Put another way, how good would the team be with Anthony Davis? How much better would they be with Aldon Smith playing opposite Aaron Lynch? How good would they be with Willis or Borland playing beside Bowman?

How good would they be it Hyde could stay on the field?

Complicated issue. Efforts to simplify it in an effort to put blame on someone are foolish.

Funny part is I just gave you a long string of players that were very good or are very promising and you flat ignored it to again make no real point whatsoever other than you are unwilling to see a more nuanced view than "HE SUCKS!!".

Gabbert is who we thought he was.

But he's not the only thing. Geep has to go. Marcus Martin has to go. Brooks needs to be disciplined. Ellington needs to step his game up - both pass catching and fielding punts/kick offs. Lemon is pathetic. Lynch and McDonald need to pass the concussion protocol

All I see are excuses.

You keep ignoring the fact that good coaches make a huge difference. Good coaching can make an average QB look good. Bad coaching can make an average QB look really bad. So on for the entire team. What we have is an average GM who is left with avg to below avg talent. Horrible coaches that should not be coaching. That equals a horrible team.

GM is responsible for the fall of this team plan and simple.
