Bay Area Sports Guy @BASportsGuy
All the Jed apologists can cling to now is (1) Harbaugh never won a SB and (2) JH wouldn't have gone to playoffs bc 2015 roster is so weak.
Dan Dibley @dandibley
@BASportsGuy and the eternal "he built a new stadium" card and the true diehards will cite #SB50 as a boon for all of us LOL
I challenge you and anyone of the other Harbaugh crybabies to tell me where the 49ers would be playing today had that stadium not been built.
Because they were ticketed for another city in possibly another state if they continued to bleed money as they did with Candlestick. Since they couldn't get the place renovated they had to move.
I thought New York was bad...holy s**t...you guys are on another level
What does Harbaugh have to do with the new stadium other than his success sold SBLs for the ninerS?
BC most of the people who hate York, only hate him because he let a guy leave who didn't want to be here anymore. And the reasons for not wanting to be here had nothing to do with York and everything to do with his dream job becoming available. But no one wants to hear that bc it doesn't fit a narrative.
He was offered the UM job in 2011
If it were his dream job he would have take the UM job in 2011 and had a higher salary to go with it.
This info doesnt fit your narrative
He was not offered the UM job in 2011...Brady Hoke was already hired and had just started a 10-2 season. He was offered the Dolphins job in 2011 before accepting the offer from Jed York.

Nice try.
I am just not someone so blinded by hatred that the truth doesn't matter.

On January 11, 2011, Hoke was named the 19th head football coach of the Michigan Wolverines football team. Michigan athletic director David Brandon described some of the factors that influenced his selection of Hoke: "The reason I wanted him to be prominent in this process was simply the combination of turning around two programs, being known as a terrific recruiter, and being a defensive-minded coach with a lot of experience. Everybody that I ever talked to just raved about the quality of person he is and how much he loves Michigan." Although many speculated that Hoke had been a third choice behind Jim Harbaugh and Les Miles, Brandon stated, "The job was never offered to them".

Just an FYI.
I love my Niners and want them to be the best team on the planet...however sometimes circumstances are what they are.
And the hard truth is...we were a damn stepping stone. Yeah we are rich in history and everyone has copied us since 1981...but the truth is...this is more business now than it ever was and we were a damn pit stop.
I have come to accept that...I think it was harder for an owner of a team to accept that and I think its time the rest of the fan base accepts that as well.
It sucks but it is what it is.

And you believe that? No GM or Athletic Director in his right mind is going to say "Yes Harbaugh and Miles turned us down and i would like to introduce you to our third choice for coach."

Matt Barrows @mattbarrows
Judging from warmups, I wouldn't be stunned if rookie Eli Harold starts and/or plays more OLB snaps than Corey Lemonier.

its a lot more gray than this, but true.
Harbaugh and Brandon both had egos and were waiting for the other to make the move to make it happen. Harbaugh didnt feel the love and went to us.
But what happened in SF is similiar in that Harbaugh didnt feel the love here either which made the split inevitable as well.
