What changes will the 49ers front office make this off season?

Vance Joseph will be a free agent, hire him for DC finally. try to bring Tomsula back as d-line coach.
chuck Pagano for secondary, if needed.

for offense you could try to get whisenhunt (oc), Philbin (o-line). perhaps pat shurmur will be available, I liked his work with Cleveland, he was qb-coach with Eagles during McNabb's era.

Nice to have a "Dream Team".

Probably should leave it up to the new HC (Hopefully) to assemble a Staff that he is comfortable with. If the FO makes it clear that they want so-and-so for such-and-such position, nobody decent will take the job.

Gase wanted to take the job because he didn't want to have Tomsula as dc.

What is with these people who want Tomdula back, in any capacity? If he gets fired from the HC capacity you have to let him go, not put him in a position several slots lower again. That is the kind of thinking that creates future problems on your staff.

I tried to hang on as long as you but couldn't.

The real problem is York/ownership.

Even if by luck they stumble upon another dynamic coach (i.e. Harbs) York will still play raindeer games.

At this point you have to wonder if my young son will see a super bowl win while this guy runs the team.

That Browns game was it for me. If they had built off that strong 3rd quarter, OK, now we're seeing a young team come together, learning how to win, building off wins, traveling well, doing what they should, confirming the ascension, etc. Instead, we got, probably the worst step back possible. Now, every young team, it looks like that...sometimes two steps forward, one bad step back, but what makes THIS different was in how they approached the game. They were unprepared, lackadaisical, uncaring, playing not to get hurt, no fire, no professionalism, etc. And that is ALL on the coaches at the end of the day. With the comments by Brooks and Bowman? basically confirming they don't believe in the coaches OR their schemes to put them in the right positions to win. That said it all to me.

For example? If Tomsula accepts his new role, no proble will arise ever. And I think that Tomsula has got the character for that.
Here is the yardstick I judge whether a new regime is improving:

Year 1) 2-14
Year 2) 6-10
Year 3) Super Bowl

Welcome to San Francisco football.

Only half complete.

Window Closes...then
Year 4) 8-8
Year 5) 6-10
Year 6) ?

That's a true test of an NFL HC (like Tom Coughlin). Could he rebuild, adjust and/or maintain playoff hopes after a couple years of rebuild?
