Shop Find 49ers gear online
Good:
Offense didn't give up
Gabbert continues to play well
Draughn solid job
Oline seems to be holding up a little better or is it Gabbert?
Agree, Vance did produce finally
Bad:
Easy 20-point lead given up early
Taking the safe option instead of being more aggressive

Ugly:
Tackling
Tackling
Tackling
Tackling
Tackling
Tackling
Tackling x 1000
The Bad,Mangini once again have LBs out of position, and Eric Ried was once again undecisive on whether to cover the RB out of the backfield or rush the QB and it cost us a stop on 3rd down which the Hawks went on to score on the drive
The Ugly, just bad tackling horrible tackling

I have said it before and Ill say it again

The NFL tackling in general is a joke....like really really bad.

Its no wonder they miss so many with the technique they use. Terrible
The Bad

2 weeks to prepare and still get destroyed by a bad team, doesn't get any worse than that
Ugly
I knew the day they put together this coaching staff it was going to be bad but it's worst then that. I'm one depressed 49er fan because I simply don't know if Jed York has the balls to replace this coaching staff after year 1.

I disagree… Every season there are a number of very good tackling teams & a number of very poor. Then there are the inconsistent teams in the middle.

Panthers: Good
Vikings: Average (Inconsistent)
49ers/Chargers: Poor

Nope, they are all just varying degrees of terrible. Having now watched hundreds of NFL games it is a easy conclusion to come to.
Anything more than 2 missed tackles is too much for a entire game.

But either way the 49's were especially poor today, the local 2nd division league team would have done better.

But on the very small bright side, gabbert looked ok
On Vance.... He clearly has bad hands, I wonder if the Kap fastball was just too much for him to handle, he does seem to handle Gabbert's throws a bit better.

That's not a good comparison, they run 1 million more times a game in League and AFL than they do in the NFL

The more you run = More chance of missed tackles

Good - BG and the offensive effort for most of their limited possession.
Bad - More crappy, cowardly play calls with nothing to lose.
Ugly - Tackling technique (agree with auviper, an area NFL, if it weren't so insular, could learn from NRL where tackling happens every 10 seconds for 80 minutes. AFL is a different technique- not so much about preventing yardage but preventing disposal of the ball.) Pears, sick of watching him being spun around.
