Does anybody else think Kaep is using "Shoulder soreness" as an excuse?

I don't mind Kap doing what's best for him, but I'm also OK with the Niners moving on from him and looking for better options going into next season. The two views are not contradictory.

If he goes under the knife there is zero chance this is just an excuse.

What he thought for a month was lingering routine soreness ended up being a torn labrum. So, no, I don't think he's lying about it.

The conspiracy theories on NT right now - of ALL types - are off the charts, lol

This. People looking for zebra's instead of horses when they hear hoofbeats. He has a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder, might as well get it fixed up right now so that he'll be ready to go wherever he happens to be at next year.

Yep. If he was starting he would likely have waited until the offseason to get it fixed. It's like Romo in Dallas - if he was the backup he would have gone on IR already this season with the injuries he's sustained.

Well said

That won't stop a host of people from still thinking it is.
If I was Kap I'd insist on surgery. If you're not going to play me and not going to trade me I would want to get well so I would be ready to play next year. With luck he would go to a team that the front office can spell football. Our genius front office put together the worst ol in the nfl gets all the rb hurt and then throws Kap under the bus. WHAT CLASS. It will be interesting to see what happens with all their cap space. Marthe will not let them overpay for any position. Honestly what free agent will want to come play losing team with castoff coaches, a garbage front office and a childish owner. I been a niner fan for 50 years and I've never seen such behavior.

i do agree with FO ineptitude

but kap is untradeable and his play warrented to be benched
Again, show me where Kap was thrown under the bus. The benching? His play led to that. The injury? No one has said he isn't tough like Nolan said about Smith.

Where exactly is this mythical bus and Kap toss?

Shoulder soreness sent him to the I.R.???? I have never heard of this happening to a player. Just earlier this year, Johnny Manziel had elbow soreness, but it didn't end his season. I think he may be experiencing shoulder soreness, but I DO NOT believe that it is bad enough to end his season. Thoughts??

Hes having shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum. Not sure how you fake that.

This also didn't need its own thread.
This entire situation is such a fiasco. If the franchises multi-million dollar QB has a damaged labrum, maybe they should have fielded a better oline.

Jed better clean house starting with the front office if he wants to salvage this team.

You can blame the line for Kaep's injury but he was playing bad before the injury, in the Cards game.
He has sore feelings.

Don't blame em for not wanting to be kicked around here any longer.

So wrong in every point.

The ONLY way this team can cure their issues is if the York's sell. The common denominator of our futility over the last 15 years is the York's.

So 1 game. Wow. 1 flipping game is all he gets.

People don't see this yet but this goes so far beyond Kaep it's not funny. Is the organization change its ways with the next QB? I mean, there's something WRONG with how this organization functions.
