In other words....a moral victory
Obviously the mentality is that of a rec soccer team playing club competition. Happy to escape with not too bad a loss.
Great. It's the kind of atmosphere that keeps York hopeful and Tomsula as HC for another season.

I think they would be more happy that they are showing some improvement.

They went toe to toe with arguably the super bowl contending team to beat.

Even without top guys and top coaching.

Shows that when dialed in ,they can go with the best of them 4 quarters.

Yup. Everyone should be disappointed they lost the game, but it feels a hell of a lot better to play a competitive game. They at least looked like they belonged on the same field. Beats losing 47-7.

No...Same words as Mike Singletry(housemazzy whatever) used in the Locker Room..... then he got hired as permanent coach

Not sure what your point is. Do you prefer 47-7? A loss is a loss, but it's better to be competitive.

Bowman thinks this game showed progress. I don't think he has a losers mentality. I think he's stating the obvious.

Getting back to respectability is going to be a process. Won't happen overnight. This team has been an embarrassment in most games this season. They need to learn how to win again. Starts with playing competitive football.

My point is that. Accepting a Loss as long as you are competetive is not OK. Whene you know there is Talent on this Team. But it starts from the TOP.

I don't think anyone is accepting the loss. Losing is never acceptable. In many ways they should have won the game.

What's most unacceptable is getting blown out on a consistent basis, like we've been doing for most of the season. Success will not come overnight. We're not going to be a team that consistently loses by 14-20 points and then suddenly flip the switch and be a playoff team again. There's some talent on the team, but not nearly enough. There are HUGE holes on the roster.

Learn to be consistently competitive every week, and the wins will come. There will be losses along the way, but that's par for the course. Management went down this road, now they have to start the process of building the team all over again.
