Gabbert has better form than Kaep but it is not out of this world better. He is a bit quicker in the pocket and a bit sharper with short throws. Kaep should not be written off and he may well come back better then ever after his op. After all he will be mighty hungry.

The biggest issue that has been demonstrated beyond any doubt whatsoever is that our O Line is absolutely putrid. Nine sacks cannot be put down to Gabbert although he has to have a share in some of them. All fingers are pointing to the O Line at the moment.

The only good thing to come out of it is Hayne is exonerated completely for any accusation that may be levelled that he was some how defective in his blocking game. The finger point has properly levelled on Devey and Pear. Why have they not be cut? Should be bye byes for them

A lucky win against the Bears followed by a boring loss last week.

What will we serve up on game day this week one wonders.
Does one?

I predict an overachieving almost win to the underachieving Bengals without mr mediocre andy Dalton. Or, we could squeak out a win. Or, we could get blown out. I'm a tingle to find out in what direction we'll veer this week.

Here's one thing I do know. We won't score a touchdown in the first quarter. Cash money. And afterwards Tomsula will say but the blame on me and Chryst will call out 3 players.

Sadly I agree, though I would add the ST coach will look for another player to throw under the bus.

It is funny I went against the grain with the Browns and said the 49ers should win this game but because they should win it they wont.

On the same logic I agree with you. The team is on a pendulum ride swinging from one extreme to the next.

Tomsula even raised this in his press conference earlier in the week and called it spasticity and made a waving motion with his hand that looked like a roller coaster track.

This dynamic can not be the fault of the players and really rests entirely with a problem with coaching staff. There is a major disconnect somewhere.
