J. Smith and Watt at the ends in the 3-4 would have been monstrous.

Yeah but his original plan was to draft Gabbert.

Hindsight makes everything so much clearer but I don't think anyone could have seen Aldon going full blown self-destructive alcoholic mode.

Still though. I'm just talking about that move. It was a big mistake. One of many for Baalke.

I can match your Gabbert with a AJ Jenkins.

Hire a bunch of Nolan-era coaches, get Nolan-era results.
21 yard punts.....

Hard to call that a mistake. Aldon was on a HOF pace before he self destructed. Not sure how any GM can see that coming, even Houston reportedly preferred Aldon.

Blame him for drafting AJ f'ing Jenkins, absolutely. The Aldon pick was a good one, the guy just lost his damn mind.

Its hard to call that a mistake?

We drafted a guy who had to be cut due to battles with alcohol, dumb behavior and suspensions.

Bottom line, that was a mistake.

Lol what happened I turned it off after the 3rd

Dude was basically eye-f**king the hell out of Wilson after the game, acting all giddy.

haha Wilson said whats up to Boone and they just said somthing and he smmiled at him. This team is happy. They don't have to work very hard anymore so losing is no big deal.

Tomorrow is film and facebook day.

It absolutely is. Or are you arguing that teams should have seen his alcoholism issues coming by calling Miss Cleo maybe

If you draft a guy, he plays stunningly well and then gets into a car accident and can't play anymore, would you also blame that on the guy who picked him, if so that's a ridiculously impossible standard.

No GM can predict things. I'm not arguing GM should have predicted things. I'm saying the drafting of Aldon Smith was a mistake.

The same way drafting AJ was a mistake. AJ was a mistake because AJ was no good talent wise. Good kid, but jsut sucks. Aldon was a mistake because he was f**ked in the head. Good player, but couldn't beat alcohol. Both were mistakes. Thats all i am saying.

What are you trying to say here? Your hypothetical didn't happen here. Its not the same comparison.

Their QB is just better and smarter than ours. Until we get a better one, this is just how it will be. How was Wilson able to get those quick throws off before our defense could react, he has a much quicker throw than Kap. Kap stares a second longer.

I'm saying that AJ was a clear mistake, Aldon wasn't. One guy was a complete bust and produced nothing, the other was an outstanding player for a couple of seasons until he self destructed. Gabbert was a mistake, he was taken before Watt and never delivered.

Looking back now, every GM in the NFL would take Watt but that doesn't mean a thing. Aldon's talent translated to the field, he was a terrific player who f**ked things up for himself, not sure how you can blame that on any GM.

Hey Phoenix49er,just leave it alone, you can`t fix "you now what" so let it die.

This whole kap thing is hilarious. Last two weeks he has been the best, now he is the worst. Bench him for Gabbert. Jesus make up your minds. The o line was horrible tonight! Where was tiller? Where was the play calling? Where were the WRS getting open?

You can call the AJ draft a "clear mistake" and drafting Aldon another a kind of mistake if you want. I'm just saying they were both mistakes. One due to talent and another due to character.

Gabbert over Watt was also a mistake also, yes. Looking back now a bunch of those GMs would admit they made the same mistake. As would Baalke. That's all that means and that's all i'm saying.

You keep saying i'm blaming baalke , but for what? We don't need to argue whether baalke is to blame for that to admit it was a mistake. That is two different things.
