This might get put in with the other thread I made 2 weeks ago about the oline and trades..in my opinion like the oline on offense the pass rush on defense is the weak link..we have seen it most the last 2 weeks..especially in the giants game but any trades you can think of to help...1 guy in mind is on a 1 yr contract I believe is Tamba Hali..I'm sure KC is most def going to make trades..I'm sure a 5th rd pick can get him..any other players ant1 can think of..? Thanks and again sry if I should've put it in the old thread..

Do you think the bull rush technique is what they want all of their pass rushers to use? Perhaps to alsways keep their eye on the QB for containment? I NEVER see a spin move, and just occasional stunts. And then they drop their best pass rusher into coverage way too often. Mangini's ego is writing checks that the player talent can't cash.

I couldn't help but see Brooks and Lynch in coverage more often than I cared to. Would love to see them with Tank and AA rushing the passer more with a little less exotic blitzes which aren't that exotic.

Unless someone is willing to trade a young OLB for an aging and injured TE in Davis, the help isn't coming till the offseason. And Kansas City has their own young All Pro TE in Travis Kelce, so scratch them off the list.

These personnel choices make as much sense as Devey still starting and getting the mass majority of the snaps over Tiller.

Tiller actually had more snaps then Devey this week 34 vs 25

"While Tiller was on the field, the 49ers gained 268 of their 391 total yards with two touchdowns and two field goals."

I think the scheme has more to do with it than anything else. Look at who gets most of the snaps on the DL, guys that are chiefly run-stoppers and not pass rushers. You have your OLB's dropping back into coverage, 3 man rushes....etc. The DL isn't executing a lot of stunts, they are basically being asked to do man up and beat their guy to the QB.

Trading for someone isn't going to change anything if they arent put in the best possible position to succeed.

Devey shouldn't have been on the field at all. Its mind-boggling that they have such a hard time making a pretty obvious change in the lineup.
