You called that one. I still think we need to address running back along with the offensive line this year. Who are some potential pick ups in the draft and or free agency? Would we make a move with the Eagles with Demarco Murray if Kaepernick was a part of the deal? Could we both cut ties with highly paid high profile players, and Kaep seems like he'd fit well in Kelly's shotgun system.
Lamar Miller would pair well with Hyde in my opinon, and there is also Doug Martin and Chris Ivory who are too similar to Hyde, but if the guy is hurt does it really matter? Broncos will probably let go of either Andersen or Hillman.
Possibly Ezekial Elliot in the 2nd round? Who is the best fit for us at RB in the draft?

If Draughn proves anything it is that you can find a serviceable back without a high dollar investment. A lot of the highest paid guys in the league are being outperformed by dudes making peanuts.

Since when is a 3.3 YPC serviceable? Thankfully he is catching the ball, because he isn't running it well. A lot of it could be due to the poor offensive line, but so far I haven't been very impressed.

he hasn't been serviceable in the running game though. You want a RB that requires a safety in the box not seeing that lol....I like him as a COP back who can catch some balls. I think he will have a chance to remain with the team after this season.

Just give Hayne a decent run now. He has been on the PS long enough and is raring to go.

He should be in there now support Draughn. His stats are up with Draughn's and he has sorted his fluency out on the PS. 49ers have nothing to lose playing him at this time of the season plus he could replace Ellington at KR and PR given Ellington has dropped balls three games in a row, has lost points and cant get good yards on PR

Thank you. So with that being said, what do we do in regards to the position?? The draft is obvious, but it seems like people are more in favor in rolling the dice on a later round pick and hopefully find an overlooked superstar, which if we get Shannahan, I wouldn't mind due to his track record with backs and his scheme. What free agent running backs do you guys like and who are some of the under the radar guys we could get for less $$$?

Looks to me like it will be Hyde, Harris, and Draughn as our Reggie Bush.
