as much as i hate saying this dead serious he needs to sit a couple of games or the season and maybe that will wake his ass up. Gabbert say what you want can make those easy basic NFL throws and knows how to step up into the pocket another basic qb skill unlike kap who looks lost as s**t!

Sit down boy and give this offense a chance it deserves after a great hard fought performance against the best qb in nfl last week they dont deserve this.
Everybody hating on Kap... I get it. But you don't just throw away a QB that has been pretty good after he has 2 horrid games. Cause thats the truth.... he's had 2 very bad games.

In case you didn't know.... finding a great QB is hard. Very hard. You also don't want to start rookie QBs when you can avoid it.

Here is what I'd do... let Kap play out the season. We all know we aren't making the playoffs this year. Let him have a chance to rebound. If he returns to form or even improves we keep him around next year while a rookie QB is waiting in the wings.

That way we won't ever have to chant for Blaine Gabbert when/if things get bad again.

He has been on steady decline since 2012. Last year he was in the bottom half of the QB class and he started this year looking even worse. He never was more than a one read athletic QB, as defenses took away his weapons he didn't improve his weaknesses or develop new strengths to compensate. The first thing that baffled him was the spy, he could never find the void left in the defense. When he rolled out the middle would open up yet Gore could have a hand up waiting for a 10 yard gaining pass and Kap would take a sack or run for no gain. Even when he has all day to throw he still makes mistakes unless the guy he locked on to is the right choice. His athleticism hid his weaknesses until defensive coordinators figured him out. He could be a useful back up running gimmick plays and no more. What he is lacking can't be taught. That is obvious as he hasn't
improved in 4 years.

But, even Randall's star didn't shine that long in Minni.

Kaep still has 12 games for the light to go off. If not, he might go the way of Tebow/Freeman. Or, he might be that wildcat/change-of-pace QB some teams might find use for.

He will be 29 next season. He is done and the 9ers might be forced to bench him anyway and it might even do him some good. Mentally he is just not strong enough to be able to turn this thing around by simply being on the field.

This. I don't think Kap is fixable.

So this.

Not sure. I estimate only 1/4 of the Fan Base still believes "He's young/just needs more time/just needs a new HC/OC"

He is a dead man walking. He does not possess the tools to significantly improve and we do not possess options to significantly improve the roster around him this season.

We SHOULD draft in the lottery this off-season and next. I do not really care if it's Kaepernick, Gabbert or Veteran behind center next year. My main focus is high draft picks.

So we probably won't even have the pieces in place until 2017. Then the real fun begins: deciding if our picks were booms or busts.

i dont think we can call kap young anymore. He should be close to his prime at 28 years old.
We don't keep him because he is unfixable
Get it blocked up front, and rest will take care of its self, this is the worst Offensive line that I can recall, ever seeing on this or any other NFL team, total, and complete trash, a piss poor embarrassment to humanity, and an insult to the fans, Staley and Boone, ad fine, but please take the rest of this rubbish out and shoot them!
Unh unh, Golitta...there are numerous pieces of tape put up by jonny del and Thl or where you see on replay that kap was not rushed, had plenty of time, and still thru the ball in the dirt, high, wide, or behind...or worse, a pair of pick 6s back to back. After that kap looked like the pooch who tried to turn over an electrified garbage can, only to get the fufu shocked out of him. Nope, i don't think the OL will in and of itself fix kap. It will aid another qb , but at this moment in time, not kap. Another reason why i am advocating that he take a rest on the sidelines for a few games, maybe even 4-6 ....or however many it is for him to get his head screwed on straight, and by watchiing, and reviewing his old tape from his first two yrs, to see what he did good and why. Trying to do that with no OL protection at present, IMO, is going to make him worse, and cement that into his brain forever. He needs to watch awhile, for as long as it takes, to learn without getting creamed on every passing play. Playing now is the worst thing for him. Yes a great OL would help him right now, but nowhere near enough. He needs a timeout.... a gatorade break.

If we want a shot at salvaging kap, he needs to be taken out to rewind, reset, start over. If he remains in, i am afraid this is it for him...I don't like that outcome...ie, no shot at him getting it together again.

Yeah, I saw that as well, and I get it, he may be shell shocked, and his confidence failing, maybe a rest is in order. I'm just not 100% ready to cut him lose.
I would have drafted another QB by now. I believe in taking one every year. Even the if you have a great QB like a Rodgers or a Brady, you take a talented young Qb, let him learn, if he you don't need him, trade him.

I don't like Gabbert as an option, not sold on him, trotting him out there would be like running out Carr, or Troy Smith. It is not an upgrade, it is at best a lateral move. Old school thinking is, the season has started, let the kid play through and see where it takes him.

I feel that he might settle down, if the line was playing better, and benching him would be the straw that broke the camels back, he would never recover, we might as well cut, or trade him. Of course if we cut or trade him, he might just turn out better off, like Alex Smith.

No, I think we make him play through it, if the Line improves, and doesn't, trade him in the off season, and start fresh. This season is done, we are at best, a 6-10 team regardless. By the time the defense if used to the new system, and the offense does the same, it will be week, 10-12, and all we will do then is screw ourselves out of the first pick in next years draft.

Thats okay, because if we had the first pick, Baalke would take an injured player, because if he recovers, he will have great upside, once we convert him from corner to offensive line.

I'm okay with both these Niner trade ideas, Boldin for a draft pick, and Brooks maybe for a aged veteran guard or center?

Boldin to the Patriots would be great for him, Brooks, I don't know where, but for a veteran Guard would be great, Does Philly have any spare O-linemen, Lately I think Philly when I think trades, because Chip Kelly seems like a sucker!
Even tho he may be starting for the Colts this week, I think Josh Johnson would be a good guy for us to bring in to run a quick hittng, game managing short passing O. He did it one game while here under roman, and played very well in that one PS game. Kap really needs to sit and blaine has looked good in Short passing game, but don't know if je will be as good as he looked in PS. If so, without a C, OG and OT on the R side, he could very well end up on IR shortly after starting. A bunch of quick hitters will ultimately move back the teams crowding us (correctly) with a box 8, 9 or even 10. But until we can prove we have a short passing game we are going to see the box loaded up and every team we play is going to do it. Sit kap, put in blaine, work on the OL (get martin out), and see about bringing Josh Johnson back.
I haven't given up faith yet. Colin is seeing spiders and snakes right now. His coach is gone, I think he's missing the shoulder pad pound down to start the game that may have kept his focused . . .who knows . . I'm not ready to give up on the kid as we have all seen that he can . . .with the right given fire in his eyes light it up like no other QB in NFL history regarding rushing and with a real cannon arm. The bugs in his head have him seeing a blurry read and is frighten to make a simple discussion. I think he's ready to say F-It and hopefully and go with live and let die while make it fly, if not bench him.
