the key will be keeping Mike Wallace and Charles Johnson from getting on top of the defense, Brock and Acker/Reaser will need to be aggressive and stop them from getting any momentum , our safeties are strong enough to slow down Kyle Rudolph underneath, and Bowman and Wilhoite will be need to Jam up Peterson before he can get into full stride off tackle ......Mangini is prepared for them, but you know Norv Turner is going to take some shots downfield against us

49ers 27
Vikings 17`
the Vikings have their own issues on the offensive line, Mangini will make it difficult for Bridgewater to find a rhythm with exotic blitz packages and force the Vikings to rely on shorter passes, our secondary will do more than contain Wallace, Johnson , Wright, Patterson, Rudolph and Diggs....Bridgewater will complete a lot of passes, but they will be passes in the flat for short gains, Reid, Bethea, Ward and Tartt will be difficult to attack, I'll take our safeties against their TE's any day
our front 7 will show up and keep Peterson under 70 yards , Williams, Dial, Dorsey, Brooks , Wilhoite and Bowman are all excellent against the run, and the Loss of Phil Loadholt and John Sullivan will prevent the Vikings from imposing their will on us in the run game, Peterson is their only explosive RB, Asiata is more of a short yardage back (if you need 2 yards he'll get you 3 ..if you need 4 yards he'll get you 3) ...and 2nd year RB Jerick Mckinnon is serviceable, but not explosive ...our defense is capable of keeping them in check
The Vikings do have one of the best CB's in the game in Xavier Rhodes, and a solid rookie CB (Trae Waynes) but once we tire them out with our running game, Smith, Davis and Boldin will be very effective and productive ..
I'm hoping Lynch, Armstead and Carradine can provide a solid pass rush, but I'm willing to bet Mangini will blitz our safeties and CB's and keep Norv Turner guessing ......this will be a statement game, and if our running game finds success early, I can see us controlling the clock and preventing the Vikings from finding any sort of momentum ...I have faith in our team to get it done, Kaep may need to be a game manager in this one, and allow the RB's to carry the load, winning ugly is still winning ...this game has potential to be a bloody fist fight, which is right up our alley

500-3 Ditka wins.
real score… 23-20. Niners.
Bridgewater will make some plays but will fall for a couple of Mangini's bait plays and make a couple turnovers. Niners play the dink and dunk game mixed in with some good runs and a big play by Smith. 2 TDs 3 FGs vs 2 TDs 2FGs
