Who knows what these guys are thinking? Jed is thinking about unicorns and upgrading the VIP suites, while Trent is looking ahead to next season already.

The Tomsula hire was the beginning for me. I hope it works out though and proves everyone wrong. I mean you bring in top OC's and DC's for interviews. You even have 2nd interviews. Then you interview SB coaches like Shanny, with Holmgren stating he's interested. Then out of no where, they hire Tomsula.

At this point for me it's one game at a time, one play at a time. I'll know more about the season when we actually get a couple of games under our belt.

I think management will too.

For me the 1st game will be telling. If we get blown out at home...well....the next couple of games after that won't be any easier.
Its probably… wait till a real f*cking game is played before forming a conclusion

Management's perspective is to win while seeing improvement in approach and adjustments by the new coaching staff.

Obviously elements out of the control of the coaches (losing talent because of retirements or off field issues) won't be held against them.

Jed is working on booking Taylor Swift and Kanye West shows at the stadium. That's where the real money is at. Not this football crap.

I like Taylor Swift. She looks like she'd be fun in the sack.
Long time reader..first time post...greetings to all, even the troller... My take is I've Been watching pro football since '78 or 79' a young kid..I expect things to be rough early on...but I also think back to Tony dungy first year.the bucks struggled and won their last 5 games..I think back to Seattle in 2012 they were chasing us,building their tram to beat us..so I guess nobody had a Crystal ball..Carlos Hyde might be a 1.700 yard back and we control the clock play great defense but I gotta agree with some earlier post..A season of getting some experience and maybe another strong draft..nobody knows really..but like many on this board or most men,I live thru my tteam during football season.. last year we stomped Dallas and just never quiet looked like the previous seasons..I.juries,the trade talk of JH.but here's to the underdogs..maybe we shock the world..thanks for hearing me out.peace
We are probably going to suck this year . . . . I'm putting the win total over/under @ 5 games. That said, I don't really mind having a bad year if it is truly a rebuilding project. Lots of teams go from worst to first in this league . . . . My bigger concern is that there are a lot of teams that go from worst to . . . . well they just stay worst. We are not too far removed from over a decade of incompetence with the same ownership. Did they luck out with Harbaugh and winning? Will they be able to find the winning formula again? Lots for this management team to prove in my opinion. I think this season is a done deal . . . . they will show what they are all about next off season . . . . On top of that, my $0.02 . . . They really dropped the ball with Adam Gase. He should have been our HC, and Fangio would have stayed. Nothing against Tomsula, but I don't think he has the support or players he needs and is set up to fail.

Agreed.. kinda..I don't mind a down year IF we can See improvement.. you know?ypg,ppb,etc.. I will hear all kinds of crap but I firmly believe Singleterry made this a tough team..2010 remember watching a game when announcers said the 49ers had knocked the most players out of games..Reggie Bush was one of them..Returning punt for New Orleans..can Tomsula be the gem?my jaw hit the floor when I heard the news..only time will tell..Ido like his demeanor.. but does that when games..on a another note Fred Jackson released today..let's hope our gm is looking for some oline help..
I don't get into name calling..putting people down I don't know..but it seems Jed doesn't have a problem firing people or mutual parting..what do they know about Tomsula?Motivator? not a coordinator.. Now I own a business and one thing I DO know is putting the right people in the right place..

Lol wtf is this " I don't mind a down year " bs. No f**k that s**t they fired a good coach because he didn't win the Super bowl and the offense was bad. It's super bowl or bust and a good offense or jed/trent are gonna look like bigger clowns than they already do.

Sing 2.0 was fired for his ineptness and failure to adapt..and he was a product surrounded by great players and coaches better then he was
