I dont think he would be top five, but somewhere between 5 and 10 is very realistic. Shoot, if I had to play against Seattle, he'd be in my top 3.

Very true imagine if kap had more time to pass and more help from players and play calling

Many other qbs would of had way more than 10 ints.

Exactly...let's say kap throws for 3500+ yards 25+ td, keeps his ints in the 10-11 range, completes 62%+ and has a QB rating in the mid 90s (all this benchmarks are well within in range and really would be decent improvement), the media would be right back on him. What I just described is basically his first year as a starter projected over a full 16 game season.

The whole notion that kap "sucks" just isn't backed by any real statistic. He simply hasn't lived up to some pundits hype and I think that pisses them off. QBs that "suck" do not complete over 61% of their passes, have almost a 2:1 td:int ratio in their "bad" season and an QB rating of 86.

I hope the players are seeing this & reading all the negative hype and use it as motivation. We can definately be a sleeper this year and upset some teams.
Kap is easily a top 10 QB. If Kap had Romo's line, the 49ers would put up 35 points a game I have no doubt in my mind. I'm not worried about Kap, I'm worried about Kap's protection.

That makes this list is invalid.

Thanks for saving me from the s**t-click and wasting 5 minutes of my life!

Time for him to step it up, get back to that elite level. No reason he can't--and we sure need him.

Good question. I'd probably organize by types of offense based on value to their team and efficiency within it. Interestingly enough, half of the offenses are QB-centric where the others are not...more reliant on timely, efficient passing as a compliment to great running games and defense.

I just copied/pasted...didn't put in my time to organize how I saw fit. How about you guys?

QB-centric Offense:
Aaron Rodgers
Tom Brady
Drew Brees
Peyton Manning
Andrew Luck
Ben Roethlisberger
Philip Rivers
Matt Ryan
Eli Manning
Matthew Stafford
Sam Bradford
Jay Cutler
Carson Palmer
Andy Dalton
Nick Foles
Derek Carr

Non-QB-centric Offense:
Tony Romo
Russell Wilson
Colin Kaepernick
Cam Newton
Joe Flacco
Ryan Tannehill
Alex Smith
Teddy Bridgewater
Robert Griffin III
Geno Smith
Jameis Winston
Matt Cassel
Josh McCown
Blake Bortles
Marcus Mariota
Brian Hoyer

I like the list, but I'd argue that both Romo and Flacco are in QB based offenses that just happened to emphasis the run more than in the past last season. Dallas always based everything around Romo, but they up and got the best OL in football and finally wised up and ditched their 65/35 pass/rush ratio. As for Flacco, Imo kubiaks offense is also very QB friendly and has shown this throughout his coaching stops. I'd imagine Bal would keep almost all of what kubiak installed in his stop. That's just my opinion though.

Funny you say that b/c last year with the very strong ZBS and rushing yards, I assumed Flacco played in a less QB-centric offense...same with Romo. Prior to last year I saw both offenses as being heavy QB-centric. Totally agree on your points!

To me it's kinda like we can all agree that Walsh's WCO was very QB-centered. In his ten years with us, 5 of the season had a heavier run ratio than pass. These five seasons include all the title teams and the '87 squad (81,83, 84, 87, 88). The striving for at least 50/50 balance is the offense I've always believed in.

Also concerning Dallas, I believe Garretts offense was based around what Sean Payton had installed when he was OC at Dallas. As a Dallas hater, it makes me made that they finally wised up and are emphasising the run.

So so true! WCO is a great example of a QB centric offense yet QB friendly and run equal at the same time. Balanced.

Is Patton a 4.4 guy? Because I've always heard kap as a mid 4.5 guy and Patton closed that gap quick.
