Good to hear the OL did better. I wonder how much of that had to do with the haldf speed. I would imagine its easier to block a guy who doesn't have great footing.

if you listened to boone he was talking about the difference between wearing a "loose ass jersey" and having pads when trying to block defenders. he also said it would take them a couple of days to get into the swing of things. looks like both of those things are true.

He's right but i don't see how either of those things explains the right side getting abused, particularly with simple bull rush.

Also it didn't seem to effect staley and Boone, who reports say are playing solid.

inexperience+new system + defense showing exotic pressures already will do that to you to start things off.

That makes more sense then the jersey thing. Hopefully they get more reps at full speed. We should get more ILBs so we don't cut practice short again...

hahaha

well know ive said from the beginning that the new system is the biggest factor in it all. so this time practicing has been fine but its different when the pads come on. now we'll see the growth and now the coaching staff can actually evaluate the players.. there was no way to do it without the pads was my point.

Yeah I agree. I think this is going to take longer then people think. If we had some more veterans on the line it would make the transition easier. The loss of AD and Iupati, and Kilgore are stinging right now. That is a lot of experience/talent talent missing

I'm reading Oline bounced back today. By NT standards, do we have the best Oline in the league? Or does it only work with negatives?

#49ers rookie RB Mike Davis slipped making cut around chewed-up area of grass near south end zone. Got up slowly, but appears to be fine.

They really need to get that f**king field fixed.
i am just beyond frustrated with this. i will assume with the day off tomorrow, they will be out there working on it,, though we really should not have to be having this discussion

I was at the event today and seen this live. It was a large chunk that came straight up when Davis made that cut. Field looked terrible as well.

I can't believe it.

It's unacceptable and I cannot believe this is still occurring.

It's really an abomination with what's going on with this field. What do they have some kind Mickey Mouse operation going on?

Seriously...Year 1 okay, I get it. New stadium, testing out new turf...fine. But we're in year 2 and they should have sorted this out already. It's an injury risk to our team, and to the visiting team as well. Just embarrassing.
How's Blake Bell looking in camp?

if they can't solve this before week 1 of the regular season, they better install field turf. i dont want our players getting hurt cuz of a s**tty field

I hope this isn't a locking up the Gatorade fridge type of deal. The field is located near one of the world's major hubs of technological innovation and the team is having trouble making nature do what it's supposed to do.
