I always think back to why the f**k did we lose the 2012 super bowl

Such a wasted opportunity against a mediocre football team we could have crushed....

simple,. at crunch time, two coaches could not get their s**t together, called a time out instead of running a running play that most likely would have scored the winning deal. that would have trumped all of the things before that which went wrong, from the defense under a alleged elite DC getting burned to the secondary playing like the keystone cops to the killer kickoff return. it all could have been erased, it was right there in front of us, second and goal from the five with a rested gore and dixon and ck ready to run a qb draw... but no,, the coaches picked just a lovely time to go down retard road. now i have to go slide down a razor blade to equal that pain

defense didn't come to play that day.
and after the coaches f**ked up the game with the time out,, they compounded the problem be deciding to go to crabtree in the clutch,, a mistake they repeated time and time again, f**king crabtree

I love my Niners, Dubs, Giants, Sharks. So nope, can't relate.

As for the 49ers, the window is still open. Perhaps not quite as open as it was from 2011-2013, but still open. The next couple years are critical. They have to be right about Tomsula. They have to be right about Kaepernick. They have to make the right tweaks and re-fortify the roster with new talent to replace the departures. They do that and they can be right back on the doorstep of a Super Bowl very soon.

We've all seen how quickly things can turn in the NFL. It's almost a year-to-year deal. No reason why the 49ers can't put themselves back in contention.

If by "open" you mean, clear, see-through glass, like birds fly into, then I agree.

As for my Niners, I'm complete sour grapes. I support the Giants and Warriors, but nothing like how I feel about the Niners. Its like watching your own kid in sports versues the next door neighbors kid who you're friendly with.

Btw, I like the Niners and Giants because I was a Pennisula kid. Mateo, foo'.

The Niners are my first love, but right behind them are the Giants and Warriors. If you're a real Bay Area sports fan, there's a lot to be excited about and proud of. All the Bay Area teams support each other, which is very cool. Last night, you could see the congrats coming in from the Niners and Giants for the Warriors' NBA Championship. That's how it should be...so, I'd say you're in the very distinct minority only supporting the Niners.
No.

lol..fair enough.

I only say the window is open because things can change so dramatically year-to-year. We've seen teams have a down year and then bounce right back into the playoffs the next. Steelers, Saints, Ravens, Giants...just a few of the teams in recent history that have had some disappointing seasons, but after making some key adjustments they get right back in the mix.

It's not like we dipped to 4-12 or anything like that. We were 8-8. I definitely recognize we lost some serious talent and it could go the other way towards rock bottom, but I think we have enough talent and added some nice pieces to keep that from happening. No reason why we can't be back in the playoffs with this roster imo. Once they're in the post-season, anything can happen.

7. 4 for the A's, 3 for the Giants.

A little but I don't think the great savior Jim was going to get us there. A little too stuck in his ways with a stale offense.
Why would I be bitter?

Nooooooooooo. Give me the nba finals over the snoring bowl any day of the week. There's so damn commercials during the stupid bowl.

But I'm also a duke bluedevil fan so it's been ONE HELL OF A RIDE. (Even though the warriors are my second team)

Only area that would compete is Boston.
SF=Title town. any other area in the country as stacked with championships as we are? 5 for the 49ers, 3 for the giants, 2 for the warriors now, 4 for the A's, 3 for the raiders...and the sharks getting close and losing every goddamn year...
