i find little to complain about this off season, out with the old, in with the new, onward and upward and lets get the ball snapped with 20 plus seconds still left on the clock
Do people forget about contracts and guaranteed cash? Patton and Ellington aren't getting replaced by UDFAs....I think there is room for White and Anderson on the squad but both NEED to learn ST as well...and by the sounds of it they are.

They only way they get any snaps this season is if injuries happen...

Cant believe in 4 years, Harbaugh couldnt fix that

It's quite obvious he had no desire to change it. He always wanted the ball snapped so late so that the defense revealed what they were gonna do. Never mind the fact that left themselves predictable and gave the defense the perfect opportunity to jump the snap. Yeah, we just wanna see what the defense might show us and run 4 different motions and call 2 different plays at the line. lol

Often times in 10 seconds or less lol.

Boggles the mind they never second-guessed that approach when our offense showed signs of stalling due to the slow tempo since early in 2013. Teams treated the extra motion like window dressing, and pinned their ears back knowing we would milk the clock all the way down before snapping.

Harbaugh was a really good coach, but damn, stubborn to a fault. If he didn't have that flaw, he'd probably be a 1 or 2 time SB champ and still coach of the 49ers.

I can't see him joining the 53...yet. We only kept 6 WR's last year and that was with the idea of playing more spread offense to start the season. When looking at the total 53, I just can't find a spot for him...yet.

X: Torrey Smith; Quinton Patton, Jerome Simpson, Dres Anderson & DiAndre Campbell
Y (SLOT): Bruce Ellington; Darius Davis, Chuck Jacobs & DeAndrew White
Z: Anquan Boldin; Rory 'Busta' Anderson & Issac Blakeney (DeAndre Smelter)

So White isnt out playing Patton or Simpson

He seemed to want to win his way rather than the way they had to win.

I've read good things about all three so far....makes for good competition. Preseason games will be fun to watch.
Oh look another thread turned Harbaugh
lol

Well right now, the UDFA's are outplaying everyone...b/c some guys aren't getting many/any snaps like Patton, Ellington, minor work with Boldin, etc. In short, it's early BUT it's very encouraging news. The more competition and development the better. I think this, like CB, is going to be a VERY fun battle to watch!
Don't really care how good they are in OTA's or padless minicamps. Doesn't mean $hit. Its glorified flag football. Doesn't matter what they do until July and August.

Completely Agree!

When you take time and really think about that not only couldn't they fix it BUT it seemed to get worse.

Did they even try???

I know JH was VERY, VERY stubborn BUT common man! IMO, he didn't care.

GLAD he's gone.

I agree with you. It's way too early to tell if these guys are the real deal yet, but you definitely can't outperform starters if you are not excelling against 2nd and 3rd stringers. The fact White has looked so good is going to at least give him a legitimate shot and that's great news for SF. If Patton really was some uber productive guy he would have jumped out by now you'd think.

The guy I'm most interested in seeing in game action is Jerome Simpson as he could be a real difference maker. Sherman is going to pretty much nullify Torrey Smith, but can the other guys cause problems?

I tend to lean this direction too. But I do like the play clock and tempo theyre showing. Its obviously a big emphasis and this time of year is the right time to emphasize it.
