The tryout candidates are not signed to a contract, and are simply at the minicamp hoping to get signed to a deal for training camp. A year ago, linebacker Chase Thomascame in as a tryout candidate and earned a roster spot at training camp. He ended up on the practice squad to start the 2014 season, but was activated for five games over the course of the season. The team also signed tight end Kevin Greene after the minicamp, but cut him at the first round of roster cuts.
