Like your points/posts. Lots and lots and lots of holes in 'em and kind of bitter.

damn son you got all that out of my post ?

I was just merely referring to the gaping holes at CB, ILB and back up QB.

You know I like to play a little ping-pong with you.

But for real, you still think we have big holes at CB, ILB and QB?

"?'s," not necessarily, "holes"...yet. Now, why do I have a craving for a cheese sandwich?

Lols

?s are holes until proven otherwise also it's not like the filing the positions are top tier prospects.

One note NCommand, I have a feeling Dahl makes the roster, right now he has $450K of his 2015 base salary guaranteed, plus he was given a $200K bonus when he redid his deal, I hate the idea of keeping him, but oh well.

I think Bishop is more likely to be kept over Wheeler, only due to salary, $1M for Wheeler compared to $585K for Bishop.

Also we need at least $8M for in season for 12 players, including Aldon Smith and the possibility of players earning roster bonuses that don't count against the cap.

Personally I hope Someone like Dres Anderson or DeAndrew White beats out Simpson, and we see Bruce and Patton play, they need PT.

Anyone else have some pretty strong convictions of roster-makers/deletions? If so, using the reference above, who gets cuts in favor of X-player?

As fans, we have this sense that we're working with a 63-man roster...not 53. While I tweak the 53, I can tell you, it's NOT fun!

I doubt were going to carry 4 RB's,2 FB's and 4 TE's, So only one or two spots open for guys like Davis, Millard and Bell.
and they all get snagged if they hit waivers en-route to the PS
Were going to have to stash some young players on IR to keep them, and move them on to the 53 next year when some spots open up.

I think everyone can agree we don't know who the starters will be but there is so much competion at almost every spot that we can have more optimism than pessimism. I will personally miss J Smith more than almost any player due to his unselfish play. He made the LBs so much better with his play...taking on double teams on almost every play and still wallling off his side of the line...but that doesn't mean the defense will collapse. It will just be different.

I disagree about not filling the holes with top notched prospects. Hyde was the best RB in his class, Armstead was one of the best 3/4 ends in his clas, and the MLBs have experience having played with an absent Willis last year.

Dockett/Bowman played last year? This whole thing is off for THIS year...like Dial will be at LDE, Dorsey at backup NT, AA will be at RDE, etc. All messed up.

The homer in me wants to say he should be, but there are definitely games where he doesn't produce much. Along with the off the field stuff slowing him down a little, high quality is a fair ranking.

PUP (then IR): Smelter, Busta Anderson, Dres Anderson gets a hangnail and lands on this list

Updating 6-9... this is what I would do

Very Solid old friend. Note that players can start on PUP for the season and end on PUP. I forget the exact rules for PUP list, it may be he can't practice for TC, or play in preseason, so that may eliminate the two Anderson's from PUP, but IR works fine.

Only changes I might make is Dillon Farrell for Joe Looney, I think if Looney can't secure a spot on the 46 man active roster on gamedays then he needs to be cut, plus Farrell is way more versatile.

And I think, and I hate I am saying this, Craig Dahl makes it, maybe they keep an extra Safety due to the whole scare about Eric Reid possibly retiring if he gets concussed again. Plus we only save $650K from cutting Dahl, wish we had cut him in March saved $1.7M, and signed a better FS/SS in free agency, but oh well.
