It's just that easy! Just do it.

Next pass was an INT right?

You do understand he would have been sacked if he stepped up. DB was coming free

Great all correctable footwork and technique issues. Yet this far into his career he should not be working on footwork so much he should have that fixed by now. I mean he had a 15 year pro QB as his coach the last 3 years so what is up.

A 15 year QB who doesn't know how to teach the passing game on the pro level. Much more concerned with a dominant run game and grinding out victories. Seems the new regime is of the same mindset sadly.

Why didn't his QB coach teach him? The guy must have been great great as his job to get promoted to OC.

I don't think so at the angle he was coming. If he wasn't pushed outside then yeah.

Whats interesting is the difference in his performance during the first 8 games last year and the last 8. Substantial drop off. The first 8 games were prior to Martin starting at center, the last 8 was with Martin starting.

Considering the role of the center in assigning blocking assignments I suspect that more then a little of the problem is lack of trust in the ability of the line to pass protect. At a minimum that is a major distraction, combine that with the changes in approach by the new coaching staff, is it any wonder timing leaves more than a bit to be desired.

It's basic QBing

#20 is closing in fast, Kap rushed his throw because of it.

I agree the best thing to do is step up in the pocket to try and evade him, but there is a high probability he is sacked if he holds the ball longer. People would then call him an idiot for not getting the ball out sooner.

Kap was a colossal failure in this game, but knowing he's been pressured more than any starting QB in the league, its hard to put it all at his feet.

He was worried about hitting the official in the head.
Harbaugh probably took drop backs for Kap in practice also and then simply handed him the ball when it was time to throw.

And this is why fans were getting on Kap for working on his body and speed. The NFL coaches primary job is to make sure the player knows the system and can apply the system. Yes, there are some fundamental things that are worked on but for a player to be fundamentally sound, they need to work on that themselves under extra time. And that doesn't mean go to a clinic for a month and that's it. That means stay after practice for the entire year to reapply and regroups those fundamentals you just learned during that monthly session.

This is the first year Kap has worked on his fundamentals on his own during the offseason. He is trying to put 4 years of fundamentals into three games and the failure from that is showing. NBA players work on strengthening one or two moves or aspects of their game per year.

Too bad Kap wasn't practicing to master little pieces of fundamentals throughout the years.

Would think a 15 year QB would know some gurus personally and refer his guy to them so they can get better.
He just has some very bad habits that he seems to be having trouble fixing or not able to change due to doing wrong for too long. He had enough talent in college that nobody cared that he had bad habits and mechanics. At the NFL level talent alone will not suffice. At Nevada he really did not have to make a lot of reads in the passing game and his mechanics were bad but he made up for it with his legs and the system they ran fit him well.

RG3 now that is funny> I know lets get rif of our QB who may never be an elite QB but can at times be decent for a Joke of a QB. Right.
