He could do a lot of good with that money.

He should prob donate his contract and join the peace core.

Jesus guys , it's just the national anthem. There are many people that are out there burning flags and you guys don't say jack sh^t about it. Kaepernick sit during the national anthem and now everyone is going ape sh^t. Give me a break

What NFL player burns the flag?

Why does it has to be NFL player. What make NFL players and us citizen different. We are all humans and all have the same rights regardless off your job occupation. So please stop separating NFL players with citizens because at the end we all die in the same coffin.

^so like I was saying, i didn't hear much when citizens started burning flags, but because Kaep is an "nfl player" that makes him different and must follow the "rules"

Yep, this is going to blow over.

Won't be a distraction at all.

It's not going to blow over, it looks to be picking up steam. BTW I'm with you I think Driskel has real talent and can run this team if Gabbert goes down. Look at Denver making Lynch #2 and maybe over Siemin later..

Go Niners!!!

It will blow over for the 49ers when kaepernick is gone. For kaepernick though he's made his bed, this is what he'll be remembered for the rest of his life. I don't think he understands that, because he is a total moron.
So Kaep did his part by rescuing the oppressed Nessa from Aldon Smith.
I'm wondering if Kap is blackballing himself at the same time.

Absolutely opposed to that. My daughter wants to spend one tour in the Peace Corps, to perform service in the family tradition, and she doesn't want to join the military. Incredibly proud of that and would hate to have a POS like Kaepernick be in there at the same time. Oh, wait, never mind, she would kick his ass for not standing for the anthem. Carry on.

Former NFL Players Without Borders. Teach them to run really fast when real bullets are flying. Like he does on the football field.

I get the message he is trying to send, which is a good message. Problem is that I think he has felt entitled since he got his starting job way back. The problem is that he sees himself as more important than he really is. A person like Boldin doing this would garner less backlash and would have more impact because Boldin has done so many selfless things that most players don't do. Most players do the usual hospital visit stuff and some other minor things here and there.

When a player like Kap does it, my perspective is more of a "Look everyone, I'm more than just about football because I got pumped up from a music award speech..."

I could be 100% wrong, but that is my perspective when a person like Kap does this. He just doesn't seem to hold the credibility or have enough background experience for this to impact as much as it should. His main persona has been one of "me" and now he decides to go "we". Do think it is a bold decision because it definitely will impact his NFL career.

To a degree

He may use this as an excuse for getting let go instead of his sub-par play.

Either way, the 49ers would be better of w/out him and the drama.

Too bad he isn't tradable.

Not if Dak Prescott stinks it up. LOL, imagine that Kap and the drama in DAL.

It looks like there really will be some movement in Dallas to aquire a backup behind Dak. Chatter this morning in Texas. Dont think for a minute they would consider the SJW though. But can you imagine if they did! Oh happy days to see Dallas get crucified by their own fans.
If I'm Kaep. I have all these millions of dollars. I would invite and paid for a few of the families of citizens of loss ones killed by extreme police actions, Gold Star families, and families of policemen lost in the line of duty, to the game. I would think that does more to understand and heal better than me sitting in protest on the anthem.

Not very difficult to come up of ways to bring attention to the issue without alienating the rest of America. Just invite families of persons shot by police alone wouldn't piss off the rest of America, yet still bring attention to the issue.

You should open a PR firm.
So I was wondering, what actually needs to happen for him to stand? His cause just isn't for policemen unjustly killing black people...it's bigger than that. It's something that may not get better for 20 or more years.
