I still believe he could have. Minority opinion on here I know, but I was truly wanting to see him come in and compete at a high level for the job. It would have been great for the team. But he didn't, and then started a circus instead.

Maybe he should publicize helping the families of the victims or sending their children to college. No, he has to disgrace the National Anthem and insult the Whites, Blacks, Asians, and all other races who died fighting for what that flag represents. His next act after he's cut is going on the Howard Stearn Show and becoming a buffoon. He has the right to free speech but if you want to be starting QB in the NFL these owners won't put up with this. If Jed keeps him on the roster he appears spineless and penny-pinching.

Plenty of coaches surely feel the same way, which will make it even harder for Kaepernick to find a landing spot if/when the 49ers cut him. At this point, it's hard to imagine anyone signing him.

You are so blinded by your delusion that everyone is racist you don't even pay attention to how the NFL works. Results of the last preseason game are meaningless. The rosters are mostly set and at most guys are battling for the last couple roster spots. Not wanting to get players hurt
getting major playing time in the last game (other than QB because of low numbers) is an indication you will be out of work come Monday. Even as much as he stinks like rotting garbage on a hot summer day, Kap should be able to use his legs against guys who will soon be selling insurance to make plays. Even if he looks like 2012 play-off Kap, it will mean absolutely nothing positive. How many times have we seen a running back light it up in the last preseason game to only get cut and never heard from again?
