How unintentionally funny. That was an incredibly condescending way to complain about your perception that I was condescending. Sorry if I offended your delicate sensibilities here, but all you've done is demonstrate that you've got nothing to offer but vague, obtuse criticism. I asked a simple question. Do you think the pass blocking was acceptable last year. If you can't deal with a question as simple as that, maybe this isn't the right place for you.

The LB/Tackles momentum doesn't even stop just a second if he did grab kaep

If you watch Kap's white sock, it looks like it goes to the outside of that extended leg. It doesn't look like the typical trip to me.

I see what you're saying about his momentum, but his body does turn in the air, and Kap's right shoulder seems to react.

^^^^^^ If someone does that to Brees or Brady, it's 15 yards every time.

And it looks like that was Boone's responsibility to me.

Agree on both counts but the stars get the calls. As for Boone...Martn was one up against his guy who did not rush, J Martin (?) took the outside rusher and Boone...helped Martin watch the middle guy back pedal.

Thanks for the gif. It looks borderline to me, and in super slow motion I can see potential cause for complaint. However, absent a pattern like DTG pointed out, I know that I would be irked if a Niner was flagged for that. My opinion stays the same even though it was a Seahawk this time.

Why would a QB try to trip a defender while trying to look down field. Sorry, but that doesn't make sense. I still say the same play with Brees or Brady draws a 15 yard penalty.

This was an obvious Kevin Greene (on Steve Buerlein) rule from the 90s where he extended his leg in order to trip the guy... freakin Zebras should all get game off each time they blow a play and don't get to ref again until another zebra takes another seat..

Then we'll all get a great referees...

As for blocking, that guy has Boone's name written all over him..

I guess the "wink" smiley wasn't sufficient to get across that I was just joking about Kap tripping the defender.

It may be that that would be called as a penalty if Manning or Brees or Brady were the quarterback, but to me that is just a recognition that those quarterbacks get way too much deference, not that there was an actual penalty.

Seattle does practice some questionable methods but this is not a blatant example. If the league reviews all the complaints and finds them blameless I guess it's Ok. Of course, if the niners do it...oh never mind!

One of the big differences with Brady and Manning when it came to poor pass blocking was the coaching staff made adjustments accordingly.... Jim didn't, but I also think Kap needed to control the line of scrimmage better.
