Exactly my point. They never did. Montana always had HOF level coaching and Steve had that level as well until the end of his career (still had elite co-ordinators). They both had elite talent around them. And STILL some 9er fans criticized them. Can you belive that? Evidently I missed the games Joe and Steve won in the playoffs when the D was giving up 25+ points/game. Also missed all the Scrubs they played with on offense and the HOF talent Kaep played with.

Agreed. Joe & Steve had great defenses. You think those SB blowouts of the Broncos & Chargers were all offense? You think the defense didn't shut Marino down? Go watch the NFL Films specials... the defenses on most of those teams were good-to-great.

I'm so, so tired of fans throwing on old highlights of Joe/Steve and comparing it to the modern era. Guess what? HOF quarterbacks are few and far between. There's a salary cap now. Welcome to the 21st century.

Detach my feelings? More nonsense. Kap is one of the worst QBs in the NFL, that is fact. He hasn't fixed his flaws, they are the same as when he entered the league, that is fact. He isn't much of a teammate, dating someone's ex when they were still on the same team, another fact. Instead of working on his flaws he flips tires, poses naked and collects shoes. So he is a poor NFL QB and doesn't give a rip about improving, wanting him gone has nothing to do with hate or whatever else you call it.
