Exactly my point. They never did. Montana always had HOF level coaching and Steve had that level as well until the end of his career (still had elite co-ordinators). They both had elite talent around them. And STILL some 9er fans criticized them. Can you belive that? But 9er fans now paint this picture that Joe and Steve developed themselves and didn't have any coaching or an offensive scheme that didn't "catch the league sleeping". Rewriting history just to trash on Kaep. "But Joe didn't...." Joe is a HOF QB and had the best of the best. Why even bring him up...or even Steve who was terrible on a terrible team with terrible coaching. Just think a lot of 9er fans are dogs chasing their own gale.
The problem here is that Kap doesn 't really know how to play QB in NFL no matter how people insist to bring the 2011/2012 playoffs to the conversations
He is far to be a solid QB because he dont have actually solid QB skills(solid QB skills isn't throw a football 60+mph, running the ball like a Tailback)
Just a reminder Kap had a defense for 2 years that Steve Young and Montana never had. They had to do job themselves.
Did you watch Montana and Young play? Especially when the team was winning? I ask because a common myth was that the old 80s niner teams were all offense.
A few of those Niners teams had the one of best defenses in the league that year. I think one of those years they the top offense AND defense but still didn't make it to the SB.

Yeah that was a myth, the 9ers had some mean defenses back in the day,Holt,M Carter, Hacksaw Lott,Hicks,C Williams, F Dean,M Hanks R Ellison I can go on but you get it an d I don`t think Blindfury was born back then and He is being Contrary to be Contrary No matter what you say or PROVE beyond a Shadow of a Doubt,He `ll still be SOK(stuck-on-kap)

Our offense was better than our defense back in the day

I believe Walsh was almost fired because of that loss.

Do I remember it? Yes, sadly, I do. That game, Roger's fumble and the Harbowl. Can't shake them.

honestly all this is being reported by Mike Silver, who i personally think is just b******tting. In the same day he reported that the trade is done with the Broncos, then after Schefter broke the Browns news, he said a trade was essentially done with the Browns, all while saying Kap may stay a 49er. I think he's just trying to break this story first and so far is failing to do so
Yeah, I'm not a big Mike Silver fan. I started following him on Twitter a couple days back in hopes of seeing some Kap to Browns trade news. After sifting through him arguing with his followers for a couple hours, I realized he doesn't really offer much value.
silver? or kaepernick?
