This can only be an awkward result. It's like hanging on to a bad marriage or keeping someone caged in.
I hope this is a negotiation strategy and not Baalke screwing up.
Still hoping its a negotation strategy as well. Maybe Baalke is going to play a wait game and make the Broncos have to throw the entire sink at us to acquire Kaepernick.
If Fitz/Glennon/RG3 are all gone and none of the 3 go to the broncos we could probably ask for even more. And then theres always the chance that Baalke/jed/kelly simply do want to keep Kaepernick no matter what trade is offered..
I personally stand by the belief that Kaepernick wants to be traded solely on the reason that he and his agent both know the entire NFL world is saying how chip Kelley's system was made for a guy like kaepernick. Therefore if Kap doenst do well in Chip's system, Kap, and his agent both know his stock drops Sincerely. Whereas right now they could try to go to a different team and still keep his stock value high, and on a team that is a contender or more of a contender than us. Its all about money for these players and staying here drops his stock so low that he becomes worthless in terms of singing elsewhere.. Just look at Brock. He dgaf about being on the superbowl team, he wants to be paid and long term
He couldn't possibly want to leave a team that's lied to him, leaked information about him and tried to blame the misfortunes of the team on him? Yeah that definitely isn't the reason.
I highly assume that this definitly plays a part into his decision on wanting to leave. Tbh what you wrote was something i had even typed out but deleted later because I felt it was getting off track from my main idea/point. But still i firmly believe 95% of the players in the NFL are all about the money. And lets say kaepernick doesnt do well in Chips system, and Chip demands a new QB, Kaepernick will be released and paid the minimum and a good chance wont be starting.
Right now him and his agent can play the game of putting blame on the passed front office/coaches etc, and try to get him onto a better team where he can perform better. As i said, our team isnt anywher near being a contender right now, so if Kaepernick can get himself onto a contending team, im sure him and his agent believes that winning can salvage his career, where as returning a 49er, his career is going to be solely resting on his personal ability with chips system.
IN short, A. gamble a year with the already bad 49ers, or B. traded to a team where they are contenders and hope you can salavge more years behind a quality roster.. If kap fails behind kelley im sure his stock drops from 12million to 4million, where as if he gets traded to a contending team, he can hide as i said behind a quality roster and still sit around the 11-12 million mark. Dont forget his agent pulls in part of his salary as a bonus so obviously his agent wants kaepernick to be playing as long as posible
